I've just recently started practicing in Conneticut. I thought maybe there was a better way of working a PvP, non-RP system, also after seeing Hidimari's post in the "Space is Dangerous" thread made me think...

The repair timer would really ruin Conn..
So I suggest the following:
Remove the jump hole connecting New York and Connecticut
Remove (possible) repair delays
Create a server command (/conn or something) to teleport the player to that system. This command would only be able to be used when the player is docked (to avoid escaping sticky situations by "poofing"
Add a timer to the above command so the quick-repair cannot be abused.
Add a /return to beam the player after the time has expired, back to their last-docked base, outside of Connecticut.
This would remove some of the problems that I have noticed, including:
"//dont shoot im going to conn". Then he doesn't go to Connecticut.
Pirate sees lawful at Fort Bush. Pirate runs to Connecticut.
Moving completely OORP ships through the heart of Liberty just to get to a practice field (Chimeras, Rheinland fighters, Gallic ships, other capital vessels)

Countless times at that. But it's neverless nice to hear a fresh voice introducing the same old and good idea by thinking it up all by himself once in a while.
Heh, fantastic Idea. Kudos to you, and the other post that was already out there... Hope it gets implemented... No more going through entire Sirius in my Obstinate to get to Conn.
It might be one of those things that people have asked for that they *might* implement in 4.86, but the Devs just aren't saying anything about it.
The thing is, it's not *vital* to game play to have it and there are more important things to sort out first.
Even though I don't use Conn for 'practice', it's a damn fine idea.
I'd like to see this happen, as there have been occasions when I would have liked to have been able to take my Praetor to Conn to muck about and give people something else to shoot at, but getting from Omega 47 to Conn without being shot at/asked why the heck I was so far out of my 'AoI' was too much of a hassle.
