A little sidenote: this question is adressed to the Outcast high officials - [101st]. But beside that anyone can share their knowledge. Also this is not flood!
I deciced to start a new topic for this. I would like to ask you, if it is possible to rp an administrator - or more likely a commanding military officer in one of "our" Outcast bases - in a form of "Lent jurisdiction over a base"... i have seen on forums that some players - with their zoner characters are doing something equivalent, so it came to my mind to ask you the [101st] about this - since you are the Outcast official faction. It is more a hypothetical question at the moment. I am just curious about this.
Also when it would be possible under some circumstances - what would be needed to have such a privilege? Which criteria to meet? (official request from a player with a rp background, some specified monthly payment for the "base", or something else?)
I really dont know anything about this, so thank you for your time in answering my questions:)
The Outcasts and Zoners are completely different factions. The Outcasts have a central command, the Zoners don't.
So I imagine with Outcast bases belonging to a unified military, you cannot come along and claim one of them.
Zoners are different because technically, every Freeport has its own Zoner faction (apart from a few that are claimed by one of the official factions).
Hm i know that they differ a lot, but i dont mean to directly claim a base to "own it" no no,... i had more in my mind something like a temporary permission to role play some kind of military attache or overwatch... if you understand what i mean:)
I can't see a problem with this as long as their is no active people doing this at that base already and you work with the faction to maintain their interests.
Of course I am not a part of that faction so have no real say over it.

Outcasts indeed have a central command, but it's very logical to assume that a base has it's own commander (following the orders of the OC high command of course). So if you ask Jameson, he may let you RP the commander of an OC base. I cannot think why this is wrong, or Zoner-only.
Go for it. The 101st can't stop you from claiming in role play you are the commander of the base. However, without their support it is unlikely that other factions will acknowledge your claim, so do get the 101st to nod their head at it. Have fun with it.

Well actually... it's a faction right, so yeah we can stop him from doing it if I / we wanted to... but since I'm not a twat, as you seemingly think that I am, I'd be more than happy to give Polar a shot at this since he's one of the few which actually tries to make something out of our roleplay.
The questions I want answered are:
1. Which base did you have in mind?
2. What do you plan to do there?
And the "qualification" which you need to meet are:
1. You need to have a pretty deep understanding of our roleplay.
2. You're required to enforce a certain standard in the area which you are in. (For instance: If I were to "give" you Cali, you'd need to make sure that some of the questionable behavior which goes on in that area is quelled... at least on the Outcast side.)
And... that's about it. If your plan is reasonable and your judgment is sound, I see no reason not to give you "command" over a base.
Dennis Jameson - ok :)i will write a separate official request on this... to answer quick the first question: i had in mind Galicia Research Station - Omicron 81... to other questions i will come later

Meh, don't tell him to run blindly into his doom. Sure he can always claim to be whatever he wants. But for that matter I could claim to be the President of Liberty while being on my outcast char (And I wouldn't be surprised if Rev even did that while playing Maria). Exaggerating to make the point there, but neither of both will fly without official backing. So just "going for it" is a rather bad idea. If his idea is cool and reasonable then there's no reason to deny him, but if he'd do it without asking back he'd get a "No you aren't" before he'd even get the chance to prove that he's worthy of that position.

im in the 101st, i asked Doc if my indy could be in charge of Cape Wrath in Newcastle since my OC was living in bretonia. Guess the answer.... the answer was clear and simple NO.
