Greetings honorable Guildmen,
We are operating some trade routes between Bretonia, Rheinland and Liberty. Cargo is legal and unrestricted.
We currently fly a Barge, those defensless Behemot, and we need to find some professionnal escorts to go with us on the way. As you probably noticed, such vessels do draw the attention of many.
As I speak, we just completed a trip from Freistad to New London, working with BHG Various Pleasure. We were very pleased with your member professionalism and courtesy. As I said to him, real Pros do make a difference and it seems your organisation has many of them within its rank.
To make it short, we would like to negociate a permanent escort contract with you. Something that would make us known to your organisation members, a proof of reliability between us that would speed the slow process of finding decent escorts.
As Various pleasure can testify, we do know how to handle our vessel, and giving some good cooperation the trip can go very smoothly. We are not greedy and the figthers that comes with us on a trip make more money than any cargo.
I will not be so bold than to put some conditions at this present time. If you are interested, please let me know what can be done between us.
Yours,
Alban

I was informed that your organisation had some interest in our escort services. Im pleased to see that you have contacted us.
Your offer certainly has my attention. And si, we can work something out. But I'd like some more information regarding your endeavours.
- What iff does your Barge have?
- What do you haul mostly?
- do you have eny specific arch nemesis?
- do you have any escorts of your own?
In short, some background information about your organisation. It's not that I don't trust you amigo. But I'd like to see the full picture of a potential future client. It's just normal policy.

Good day to you 'Cracker' Jack,
And glad to see such a fast administration. I guess you don't like wasting time with paperwork so much.
Your queries are but normal when it comes to such business and here is some heads up to let you know who we are and what we do :
We run under Gateway ID, although the Barge does not show any particular IFF so far. It is a sligth conendrum at the moment for it would be best to show a Gateway IFF flashing. We were looking for a contractor - one of your organisation member maybe ? - to link his transponder to our ship and quickly sort this out by providing one or two small services for gateway. This couls easily be negociated I think.
The fact is this vessel just start coming into business, so it is still very 'fresh' in terms of reputation, good or bad. Furthemore, regulations of those ships are still in a grey area, but we'd like to do things properly nontheless.
We haul legal and unrestricted goods, always according to up to date border regulations. It could be mining machinery from Bretonia to Rheinland, Cobalt, Luxury goods from Liberty...You name it. So far we have done a Rheinland > Bretonia > Liberty > Bretonia > Rheinland. We do avoid Kusari space at the moment and direct trade between Liberty and Rheinland.
We only use trade lane system, on 25 waypoints course maximum. If you come with us, you'll see that with such a ship, it is long and tiring enough.
We do not have specific arch nemesis. But Mollys in Bretonia and Hessian in Omega and Reinhland are our worst problem. Especially the Not Particulary Cunning ones, if you know what I mean...
The problem with the Barge is the particularity of the shield : due to its incredible large size it creates a gravity anomaly on close contact with another shield and makes this huge beast moving up and down like a feather. Shooting those insignifiant mosquitos fast is the main job while escorting us.
We worked once with a freelancer pilot name 'The Escort', but have no news from him for awhile. Another Freelancer going by the name of Terminal.Velocity (Hi Jaden...) has done a pretty good work for us last time. But none are affiliated with us.
For our background...You noticed the 'JhC' in the front of the ships name. This is not an organistion per se. All it means is that I have done my class under JhC's patronnage aboard the Pacificator Lx Liner. But every captain coming out of the Pacificator has to walk his own path. All it means...is that we learned the way of those who made space their home and trade their way. We do work under a Gateway ID for now and thus we will make Bretonia the center of our operations so far.
We have issued a small sheet routine of the basic things an escort needs to know while escorting a Barge, we will forward it to you would you decide we can work together.
A blessing on your wings,
Alban.

Jack,
I am glad to see we can now open negociations.
This is what I have in mind. Remember that it is only a proposal, as I said, we are in negociation and things can be....negociated !
What I need is to find escort faster than now. And reliable ones. Those that can endure a sometimes long trip without much shooting going on.
For that I will need to be known in the Guild as a specific customer, and to ensure our bounds nothing like a percentage of my profit on each trip going straigth into the Guilds Banking account. I was thinking 5% would be fair. Consider this is a nice and steady sum giving the 40.000 cargo of the ship. That will go on the top of the Escorts pay, wich will be 20% of the trip profit. This 20% wich represent quite a lot of money will motivate your pilots and I think ease the process. That is a 1/4 of the profit (note that I said profit, not selling price) going to the Guild, you can see I am not trying to rob you. Far from it.
Organisation :
Our trips are prepared days in advance. You could open a secure channel for me so I can let you know when and how few days ahead, and you'll have time to find the available pilots. They can come as many as they want, but they'll have to share the 20%. Actually, one is normally enough, although two would be the best.
To give you an idea, the trip from Oder shipyard to Kensigton is 63 Mil profit. That's 3.15 in the Guilds hand and 12.6 for the Escorts. Other and more profitable trips will be open soon, authorisations are in process.
I will let you know in advance the goods in cargo, the profit, time and date of departure and estimated course length, so everyone can decide with a full understanding of the situation.
Attached with this transmission you'll find a small sheet wich came with the few experience we have on these vessels that will help the pilot coming with us.
That's it for a first draft. Lemme know what you think of it.
Yours,
Alban.

The pay seems fair enough. I think I'll be able to get some hunters to escort you. I will need to know well in advance though, when you want to make a trip. Our hombres are spread out so they need to come to the rendezvous spot which may take some time in some cases.
Also, 1 point I'd like to bring up regarding payment. I'd like to see an advance payment clausule. Let's say 50% on departure, 50% on arrival. Just in case the... unthinkable happens, si? These trips are quite time consuming, and my hombres like to see some money out of it, regarding the 'outcome'. I'm sure you understand.
Also, I can give you a special channel only you can have acces to. You can use that channel to request escorts. Do so well in advance though, like you said yourself. a few days preferably. On shorter notice isn't impossible, but makes it harder for me to send a hunter over to you.

Sir Jack,
It seems we come to an agreement. I have few more matters to negociate with Liberty authorities regarding our next trip but I will let you know as soon as it comes out, probably within the next day.
Regarding payement, we agree to wire 50% upfront to your Hunters in case, as you say, the unthinkable happens. That said and done, you understand that it wont be acceptable for us to be left alone during a trip for another emergency call. But the reliability of the Guild is such that I am not worried about it.
I will wire the totality of the Guild payement (5% of the profit) at the very beguinning of each trip once the escort will show up for I consider this represent the work you would have done to organise all that from your side. We still need to know your bank account ID and the private channel freqency.
I will contact you shortly to let you know the detail of our first trip.
May Abu d'Dhur lead our steps.
Yours,
Alban

We have a deal then. The channel to request an escort can be found here
Also, don't worry about hunters bailing out to go elsewhere. What we start, we finish. We won't run off to do some other job while we are busy escorting you.
The Guild's account is BHG|Guildhall
You can send the Guild's payment there.
You can keep using this channel to discuss the contract itself; I'll keep an eye on this channel and the one where you can request our services.
