Bonnie realised who he was talking about, but didn't know what him being there had to do with anything [color=#FF99FF]"Wait, not.. Really?"she followed him into the bar, keeping a few steps behind, with her gun still drawn, ignoring the quizzical looks they were getting from the people around them,
"And why do I get the feeling like you have something to do with Rufus being in a coma."with this, Bonnie pointed her gun at Joseph. She hadn't realised he was considered a 'suspect' in regards to Rufus' condition, she shook her head and raised the gun, so instead of aiming it at his chest, the aim was square in the centre of his forehead, "I would answer him, if I were you."She said sounding remarkably calm considering the situation, while glancing over in Alex's direction, waiting for his next move.
Joseph was visibly taken aback by their behavior, either that or hearing that Rufus was in a coma. They couldn't tell which. "Whoa amigo, slow down," He said, attracting attention to his face, "I didn't even know Rufus was in a coma. Alex, you did me a favor back there, covering me while I escaped. Now I must ask you to do me another favor, and trust me as you once did." He looked at Alex, in the eyes. "Here, take my gun, as a sign of faith." He drew his sidearm slowly, and gave it to Bonnie.
[font=Times New Roman]Bonnie's arm lowed slightly taking the aim of the gun off Joseph, shaking her head [color=#FF99FF]"I actually don't believe that you didn't know.. Might just be 'coz I don't like you." She shrugged, the calm was gone, instead now there was an unmistakable tone of hostility. She wasn't sure what Alex thought about this, as he had kept a straight face through the ordeal. Bonnie thought to herself he would be damn good at Poker before her thoughts were interrupted by Joseph talking"Here, take my gun, as a sign of faith."She quickly pointed the gun back at him when he took out the side arm, snatching it out of his hand and removing the power cell, and pocketing it, muttering something about good faith and how it was a joke.
Alex opened his mouth to say something but his comunicator chirped. He checked it only briefly.
"Then why does the blackbox say that you shot down Rufus?" Alex asked still keeping his gun at his side. "I'd like to trust you Jo but you're not giving me a lot of reasons too right now."
Joseph sat back down in his chair, and took a drink from his glass. "Hombre, I don't know about my ship shooting down his, as I have not been in contact with anyone from the Society since my untimely departure. He leaned forward, setting down his drink, and looked Alex in the eyes, in an angry manner. "Alex, I have been kind enough to not merely gun you down while you walked in, I have even extended my courtesy as far as giving you my gun. If I wanted you to die, you would be. You come into my place of rest and expect to get away with pointing guns at me?" With that several thuggish looking brutes crept up behind Alex and Bonnie. "So lets talk, eh amigo? And put away the guns.
"Joseph," Alex shook his head. "I was being calm and reasonable, now you have to go and escalate the bloody situation."
He twilred the Lupara around a couple of times before again dropping his arm to his side but not putting the gun back in its holster.
"Bonnie point your gun somewhere else. You must be scaring him." Alex cleared his throat. "Now, I would like to see proof that you didn't shoot down Rufus. Proof preferably that isn't McCarthy's say-so... speaking of which... where is Sunshine anyway?"
Joseph did not appreciate being insulted."Your inability to control your underlings is the only reason this situation was escalated. He looked at Bonnie who had her weapon at her side. "Evidence, well, amigo, I suppose my own blackbox would do then? And you better show some respect here amigo. I am humbling you here, the only reason I have let you this far is because I like you. And the chica? Well, she is not in the picture anymore."
"Not in the picture?" He decided not to press the topic. McCarthy was a center of bitter memories and he need not dwell on them further.
"Your blackbox will do. And keep in mind Joseph, just because you have three thugs does not mean you have the upper hand." He did not elaborate further as to what he meant by that statement. "Now, let's go get your blackbox so I can get back to the Intruder before Clyde fills it with hookers."
"I will take you to it, but you cannot keep it. And I will be taking my gun back. He got his weapon from Bonnie, with a scowl. He just smiled. And reloaded it, putting it back in it's holster. He waved the guards away, and led them down to his vessel.
Joseph's Sabre, as far as Alex could tell, was completely different from the last time he had seen it. He opened his ships cockpit, and retrieved his blackbox. He handed it to Alex. "Amigo, you will see that I was not there.
