There are places where Daumann patrols removing threats are completely within RP, so is shooting Hessians everywhere.
May I ask where did it happen and on what character?

Guess this is what called corporate war. Guess mining teams have reason for building up harder fighing teams, because they must make area protection too (mining places example), while "normal" trader teams use their fighters for protecting transports. I agree if DHC- fighters wanna keep up the law example in Hamburg system that is nonsense coz that is RFP/RM job, but in Omega 7 or there where are Daumann mining operations that is normal if they ruin the competitor mining teams. It was normal in the past and it will in the future. Maybe you think the trader teams have only one job making money and paying tax to the pirates, in my reading the trader/miner RP can be more colorful. If you read the rumors/news you can meet some writings where the trader teams messed with each other.

The IMG/DHC event "The bombing of freisdat" (a vigilante act of vengeance to repay the IMG for steeling DHC's ore and starting this mess in the first place (inRP)) was a co-venture between the IMG and DHC done in full cooperation. We did it to have fun, give the IMG some fun, and for the priceless opportunity of charging a Zephyr head on with a CAP 1 heggy fully loaded with uncut diamonds.

Fun was had by all involved.

The IMG and DHC had fun together while playing a game. I dont think that is wrong in the slightest.

I feel I need to clarify something here. The DHC had a reason to hit back actively after CR blocked access to their base for quite some time by simply putting fighters all around it. In a very realistic way, they decided not to accept that and struck back. Escalating things happens often in revenge actions, so I think it was perfectly okay in this situation.

I agree that it should not be a common "hobby" of DHC to do that. But, as I said, in this action we OORPly found that it was okay, logical and would make for a good contribution to the storyline. And: it was a consensual decision made by the faction leaders of the involved factions that led to the Transport Hell event. So it was a very constructive move.

Been flying around Rheinland a bit lately, and saw a lot of DHC-...I've yet to see a Hegemon or something similar.

There are quite some. I forced quite a number of them to dock and got pretty nice RP. Some even stayed on the miner to RP instead of logging the fighting gear and getting at me.

I think I just need to "protect" one of my char's main ingame opponents and one of the great oorp planners here a bit. =)
