She giggled. "Maybe not RIGHT when we first met, but for a while you were! You didn't know what to do with me..." She teasingly pokes her tongue out at him, and looks back to Veris. "Glad that changed rather quickly."

Those less in tune with emotion or under the influence of the crystal wine might recognise tears of joy, however the water streaming down her face was far from joyful as she picked herself up off the chair and quietly escorted herself out of the room, doing her best not to create a fuss. Despite wanting to be happy for her friends, she wanted nothing more than to leave; rampant hatred and pity known only to herself as she soundlessly disappeared from the excitement surrounding the others.
Izzy, who had been keeping an eye on Rika, saw the events transpire. Getting up, she ran after her, leaving a bewildered Jeremy to watch Izzy run out, blonde hair flowing out behind her.
"Eva! Wait!" Izzy said. She ran to catch up. "Are you ok?" Izzy produced a hankerchief from a pocket as she said this, somehow easily keeping up with the other girl.
Meanwhile
Rika sat there holding Licentia, confused.
*Evyn watches out from the doorway, looking at Izzy as Eva continues down the hallway* Evyn: Let her go...It doesn't take a genius to know shes in pain.. *She walks up to Izzy, placing a paw on her shoulder* Evyn: Things heal in time, I guess she hasn't healed long enough...Come on now, I left watching Agatha hit on Jeremy back at the bar...Why do I have to deal with a bunch of lightweights?..

"Good God. I try and help, she at least stops and says a few words back, and then I hear someone is hitting on Jeremy?! Why can't I help anyone without having someonr hit on the love of my life?"
Izzy was gone so fast it seemed like she flew.
She slid to a stop at the bar, her annoyance turned to laughter as he watched the speechless Jeremy.
Vixen glanced at Bret, as Izzy came back in, and then walked out to follow Eva. Catching up with her quickly, she caught her by the wrist, pulling her in a way that turned her around. Staring into Eva's eyes, she gave her a look that needed no words...She knew something was wrong.

Evangeline was half way through her exit from the party when an unexpected, powerful tug on her wrist pulled her around and stopped her dead in her tracks.
Evangeline stands silent for a moment, her wrist locked firm in Vixen's grasp, unable to break free. She uses this brief lapse to organise her thoughts before saying anything.
Evangeline relaxes within Vixen's grasp, knowing that fighting the much stronger woman would serve no purpose.
She brings her free hand to rest on Vixen's free shoulder and forces a weak smile, tears staining her cheeks.
I didn't want to ruin your big day... so I decided to leave before I created a scene.
Evangeline sighs heavily, the weight of her emotions burdening her thoughts and actions greatly.
I know... it's not your fault nor Bret's but... I just couldn't handle it.
