Looks really alien. Mesh and texture job seem okay, although I prefer to map my textures to fit rather than just slapping a generic plating on like you did with the wings and plating covering the engines.
The shape itself is a little odd and I just can't pass it off as a human fighter in my mind with that long arse nose, but with some modification and a retexture I think you could pull off a Bretonian civvie HF or something.
Delete the long nose, create a nice front for your ship, and you'll have a very cute and beautiful two-seeter!

I actually prefer the mockup you quoted rather than yours, the cockpit glass itself is already too long, even for a two seater. You also got rid of some interesting bits in yours, while the one you quoted managed to keep them while deal with the problem of the nose being too long.

Sure, I guess the curves and the downwards-sloped nose can be somewhat reminiscent of the Gallente fighter, but neither of those qualities are uncommon nor were they first used on the Gallente fighter. Aside from those two qualities, I'm not seeing anything else in common.

Probably the model will became too common and boring in case if I get rid of nose section, dont you think so? U'll see result tomorrow.
