That's really an overly simplistic response to Global's complaint. The reason I see is That this is a living universe, (How else can you explain a Zoner Guard Faction taking sides in the Outcast/Corsiar conflict for example, that doesnt fit in with the NPC roleplay) Factions react to diffrent things. The Corsiars make thier money from the Artifacts trade, and the only place to make any money on artifacts is NY, so if LSF is going to use such tactics, then the Corsiars MUST respond, how could they not when the very lives of their children are at stake. If we say that The Corsairs dont have an intrest in Liberty, then Igiss might as well just take artifacts out of the game. No one would tell Outcasts that they cant escort Cardi shipments ( which they do just like Corsairs should. ) I don't see why LSF is so against Corsairs escorting Artifact shipments. If they can station a BC, a GB and a VHF next to the JG, why not? No wants the corsairs to be able to take care of themselves. Outcasts have Allies in Liberty, so they can go there, but Corsairs do not, so they can't, that seems unfair to me.
Also, LSF is a Navy force right, wouldnt be the police or border guards job to stop smugglers. You dont see the US Navy stopping Drug shippments, you see the Coast Guard and the DEA doing in, so mabye it's alittle OORP for LSF to be doing it.
' Wrote:adn do you see any liberty npc ship near alaska jumpgate? i have nothign again it when someone is waiting on me near missoury or where, but near JG ?
Lets see. Yes for one.
They own that system, and the system on the other side of the JG for two.
There is not a single Corsair NPC within 2 jumps of New York for three.
The news on Manhatten even says the the Navy owns that jumpgate and that it is restricted to civilians or those not of the Liberty Navy for four.
Its guarded by Liberty Navy weapon platforms for five.
The giant shipyard on the other side of that JG is owned by the Liberty Navy, as well as the two prisons for six.
The jump gate itself is owned by Liberty. Thats seven.
Oh, and the Missouri's info states that it is there as backup to assist in the defence of all of Zone-21, ALL of it. And that would be eight.
ok for the record the reason we was in zone 21 was cause we had a tip that there was 3 ships heading though alaska and entering ny via zone 21 so we moved to intercept and globalp you came though clean but was told to leave zone 21 as it is restricted space you wouldnt leave so we shot some warning shots at you and you left then you came back with the two cgc ship which was all scanned and had a cargo full of artifacts you began to run so we engaged one of the cgc ship was destroyed and so was the artifact but yourself and the other cgc ship got away from us
if your not propared to pay the price for smuggling dont do it if you want to smuggle dont whine when you are blown to bits
fair enough, that a trader needs escorts. the last 2 escorts of yours included 2 battleships (osiris' even if they were independent, they were escorting you), and i was there to witness it.
also, the LSF is the Intelligence department of the Liberty lawfuls, so they can have a spy, telling em when the next shipment of contraband is due (its called having an undercover mole, incase u havent heard the term)
also, it has been stated loads of times now, that the Zone 21 is a restricted area for civilians etc, and the only ones allowed there is the SA/LSF and maybe a few others. you just got ambushed by the LSF, to prevent your shipment of contraband getting through. sorry, but all i see here is a rant.
you can always change your route, to throw the LSF off your scent ya know..

If you can't go through Alaska, go the long way round. Don't complain just because the LSF stop smugglers from using the jump gate. They can if they want to. It's their system after all.
And I try to use that route myself. I just know that I'll have to turn around if any LSF are around. Not a problem for me.

Corsairs can attack why? Thats none.
but you see any npc ship near new york side of jumpgate? I think no. And i say i have nothing when they wait near missouri or somehwhere,i never say something again, when bs hunt me to end of california or when 3 USS hunt me to toledo in minor. I have nothing again it.only what i say was that smugglers need protection.or are traders in dangerous systems not protected by mercs? And this zone is very dangerous for smugglers it seems. So why not be protected? And when someone is carrying artifacts, he make bussines for corsairs, so that is their bussines to protect him or no?

Ok here's one. The Corsairs control the Artifact trade, and even in Vanalla FL, they Artifacts trade was a major part of the story, started at least one war for liberty right? so why not excpet it to countinue.
the LSF oorp again.. yes zelot we know. Anyways, Its ok for TBH and other corsairs to block crete from passengers, but not for LSF/Navy to block artifacts?
Global how many threads you gonna make about us stopping you from smuggling.
Right.
A: Viable Trade route that makes very little RP sense,
B: zone 21 includes Alaska.
C: Liberty Government does not know about the jh in Alaska.
So, both sides are at fault.
Not saying the Corsairs shouldn't trade through there, its their only way to make a profit. Which is a major problem with the mod, and at the heart of this issue.
But, the argument stemms from people wanting to hire escorts...which doesn't make sense with a smuggler...to blatant an announcement of the smuggling.
The serious problem here, is that artefact traders are FORCED to go through this route.
It shouldn't be addressed here, by players.
This issue is caused by the mod, and can only be fixed by a change in the mod.
