Bonnie looked up at Clyde, her eyes bloodshot from crying, and the alcohol.[color=#FF99FF] "Sure. Why not.... Saves drinking here alone yeah." She nodded, not entirely sure what it was she was drinking now the recruit had bought her the new bottle. All she knew was it tasted really good with Cola. "I need a cigarette.."She pulled one out of the packet the recruit had rolled for her when he had seen the troubles she was having with it.
Clyde sidles up beside Bonnie, and grabs his drink. He sips at it slowly, and stares at the bar top. "Erhmm... sorry" he mutters. He glances up, seeing how many people were about. He didn't want a hiding in front of a crowd.
[font=Times New Roman]Bonnie didn't react how Clyde had thought she would. After being silent for some time, and finishing her cigarette she looked up at him. [color=#FF99FF]"Its not my place to tell you what you can and can not do. If I can't give you what you want, then I guess you may as well go find it from anything with two legs and a pulse."She shrugged, seemingly remarkably calm to what she was when he first came home. "If you want me to leave, then so be it. I will. Otherwise I guess I'll just put up with it"She looked out the window of the bar, changing the topic. "Where do you think Alex went? Seemed to leave in a hurry, yeah?"
The doors to the mess burst in, near a dozen pirates bursting in, laden with chests and travel cases, roaring with glee and delight.
The crew of the Ramblin' Rover intended on pillaging the bar; fortunately they intended on doing so with credits rather than rifles.
A lone girl scrambled out of the mass, raising a delightfully golden and shiny cup to silence her crew. "Hear ye, mates! Today we proved tha' e'en the richest o folk can be touched, tha' e'en the most important men and women of the Houses can be pirated fer all their worth! We chased em down an' left em naked aboard that fancy liner of theirs, takin' in more swag than we seen in months! An' fer tha.....FREE LOOT FER EVERYONE!"
She kicked over the chests, spilling out gaudy silks and clothes, golden and silver dinnerware, candlesticks, gold bars, rings and necklaces encrusted with pounds of stone, anything and everything they had taken.
In the resulting uproar as everyone in the mess hurtled themselves at the lot, she slipped away to the bar. "Bartender, an Afterburner, iffen ye please."
"After-what?" Afterburner, a.....ooch, ne'ermoind. Gin, straight up."
"Missie, we don't serve youn-"
She stared at him with that special look all pirates cultivate, the one that burns down into your soul and rapes it repeatedly.
The bartender gulped.
"Ye-e-es'm. Straight away."
After profusely thanking the bartender for the drink, she turned to the two already at the bar. "Oy mates, i dunnae believe we met. I'm Meaghann Rush, pirate."
She offered her hand to the man sitting next to her.
gone four years, first day back: Zoners still getting shot in Theta :|
Alex returned to the Intruder landing his Eagle and getting out. He sighed and headed to the bar rubbing his forehead in a vain attempt to stave off his developing headache. He entered the bar and sat down.
"Get me the usual." He said with a sigh still rubbing his forehead.
It seemed that despite his feeble attempts at apologies, Clydes time with The Society was coming to a close. A disappointed woman, a disgraced reputation, discontented team mates. What was worse, was that Clyde was broke. That crap at Barrier Gate ruined him. Damn the manager there knowing his boss.
He writes a note to Bonnie, apologizing yet again and bidding his farewell.
Quote:Bonnie,
I cannot begin to express my remorse for the failure that I am. I am no longer a proud member of this team, but just another Outcast. I cherish the memories we have, and the time we spent. But you are with your real crew here, and will flourish with out me in the picture. Tell the others nothing, let them continue to think of me as the coward I am.
Farewell
Clyde
With that he throws his ID chip on his quarters table, takes his treasured necklace gifted by Bonnie many years ago, grabs his pipe and a bottle of wine, and sets off for the hanger.
As he leaves the Intruder, a tear rolls down his cheek. His fate is set, and he heads for Kusari one final time
Bonnie finds the note and tears it up, taking off the necklace she had got with Clyde back in the good days and threw it in the direction of the set of draws in their room.. Her room now, knowing with the mess she would be lucky to ever find it again. She finished the last half of a bottle of wine quickly, before going to find Zack and Alex to tell them he had run away. [color=#FF99FF]"I knew he didn't love me like he claimed he did. Couldn't even tell me he was leaving in person. Typical... I should see that coming from a mile off.. "
Alex was busy running universal searches all over the neural net. Of course he decided to help find information on the one person it was nearly impossible to find information on.
"Why the hell does this file have such a huge encryption on it?" He muttered. He looked up as Bonnie walked past.
"Hey Bonnie!" He called. "What's up? You look angry..."
[font=Times New Roman]"Angry... ha, that doesn't even begin to cover it. Clydes run away, left a note full of excuses, rambling on about how he is just another outcast, and what seems like hes breaking up with me... Fool couldn't even tell me in person. He can get shot by a damn bunter for all I care..." [color=#000000]She shrugged and muttered something about how she should just stop caring about people in general coz they all just screw her over in the end.
"I need something to take my mind off him... and shooting myself in the head. What are you doing... Wait, don't ever try explain. I wont understand a word you say...." She sat down next to him anyway contemplating lighting a cigarette.
"When I was out with Ian a couple days ago we met a freelancer. She asked me to find information on someone... that's what I'm doing. I've got general information but the file on her foster father has a massive encryption on it." He shrugged.
"I'm guessing the Rheinland military's hiding something. I just don't know what yet."
