According to Freelancer, the cruise speed of a ship is average 350 m/s. just above Mach 1. Now if we take into account the physics representation here, Rainbow Dash is theoretically travelling around, what was it, 1100 m/s? Therefore, Trade Lanes are rendered null. And if 11 G's is survivable for rainbow-colored ponies then so is space.
