Lancer brings up an interesting point, which I've always thought needs to be addressed, which is the matter of hit-and-run tactics. I think we need to allow fighters and bombers to reengage, but only after a certain amount of time and a certain distance, which I think should be something to the effect of ten minutes and ten kilometers. This should probably get its own thread...
I'd allow that Doom and Yngen would be the best candidates for a Xeno faction, but then again there's already the Sons of Liberty... I'd suggest starting a sort of Farm Team, like the Bushido, and upgrade only the best RPers to the Sons.

Naw... create an In-Character only Xeno message dump, and lets see who surfaces on the boards. Due to infrequency in game and anonymity, this might be the best method to get to know one another. It also creates a springboard for in game activity.
Thanks for the advice about where to get the adv debs from... I'd have never found them I don't know why but I don't attack Freelancer NPCs. (Even though I'm red to them). That may make the power usage soooo much beter.
As for Nomads, i didn't say they are oorp, i'v said they are oorp for me.
We can discuss about that till tomorow, and after that you'l still be using Nomads, and i won't.
Just the idea of Xeno shooting some kind of new technology gun that does best dmg/energy isn't my favorite.
But no one can really tell you what to use, unless in a faction:)
Btw, i hope Nomads will be nerfed even more, yes, yes. :nyam:

It is every Corsair's responsibility to die a beautiful death in defense of Crete, regardless of how OORP or how capwhoring the opposition is. Launch your fighter, joust the battlecruisers and die a beautiful death. Then, drink it down in the bar.
I'd be interested in a Xeno faction, provided someone showed me the way to some background RP on the Xeno faction (I don't really know who they are).
The only ships I enjoy flying are the smaller assault class-types (Fighters, Very Heavy Fighters, Super Heavy Fighters, and so on). I have a ton of fun with nearly all of them.
In order to be even remotely successful though, one may have to consider essentially "breaking" RP somewhat just to make it happen. We might need a single gunboat, or atleast access to the best Fighter weaponry/equipment available. Maybe it could be considered a (small) ragtag group of Elite Xeno pilots?
Send me a PM and we'll see where it goes from there.

Yes, Xenos are limited in ship choice. We are terrorists. There are limitations for reasons bigger than our cause. Agreed, however, to be most effective takes a bit of creativity, either an RP background story or some "captured, and refurbished" materials (guns, etc..)
As for our great warleader, check out Prospector's story. Good bit of Xeno history there as well.
I thought there already was an Xenos faction, the Imortals or something... And on the point of Nomad guns, Xenos are deathly opposed to all forigeners, no? Imagine how they would feel about a wholely different race. The Xenos being a terrorist group would stick to the populated areas in the main house systems wher they can go about their business (namely the destruction of forigen vessles), not go running around practicly empty border worlds looking for Nomads.
On a second note, is it OOC for a Xenos to leave Liberty at all? If so Spear was out in Kusari destroying KNF vessles. Not sure about the RP behind that, but he was a good pilot at any rate.
No, not OOC for Xenos to leave Liberty space. The RP on the bases indicates that they can jump into neighboring systems as attack strikes may call for it. (ie., Xeno based in Kepler could jump up to Shikoku to attack Samura Industries)
But, these attacks are fairly uncommon due to logistics of long range support. Fighters should stay close to friendly bases, and the Xenos aren't exactly welcomed out there.
As for Nomad guns, I use them on Apocolypse. John, the pilot, spent nearly a year traversing Sirius space with Meiun, a Zoner, and collected some rather unique items during that time abroad.
