Officer Virgil Samms has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant of the Liberty Police, Inc. for both long service with the force and his contribution to the force activity-wise over the last months.
I wish you the best of luck in your new rank, Sergeant. Wear that badge with pride.
And you'll find your new, upgraded <strike>cattleprod</strike> tazer on your desk when you get back - we need more people to help herd recruit officers, and you were a prime candidate. Our ranks have gotten a bit bottom-heavy recently.

Sergeant Law wakes up in his living quarters and makes some coffee. Having completed last night's patrol, Sergeant Law starts to tap on his datapad his patrol report of the night:
Patrol started after leaving Fort Bush with patrol craft and headed for Planet Manhattan. I came there and started to patrol ships and helped a few pilots with a mechanical problem on one of their ships. Once I found myself at Planet Manhattan I spotted suspect CX-T2-PILOT and asked the pilot to stop. The pilot refused and I attended pursuit.[A]
The suspect turned out to have a Rheinland 'Mjolnir' Very Heavy Fighter[C][D]. The pilot refused to comply to change his ship[E] which led me to the fact that even though he did not comply to change ship he had complied with other instructions, so I fined him [b]$1,350,000 for breaching Section 3(2) of the Liberty Laws. The suspect then instead of paying started to flee and successfully fled, breaching section 1(4) Liberty Laws for fleeing when stopped. Therefore, I have issued a fine to be paid of total $2,000,000 and confiscation/destruction of his craft if caught again.
At that time when the suspect fled, it was because suspect Hellfire Legion HF-Wilson.Carse[F] started to engage due to the fact that he has a hatred of police and other than that no other reason. After a furious battle I realised that my equipment via shield and nanobots were defective and realised that someone in the precint or station must have stolen some nanobots and such before my departure. After a mayday call, many arrived to assist but there were also other pirates that assisted the battle. The suspect destroyed my craft[G] and attacked other members of the Primary Fleet.
After getting into another patrol craft I started to patrol Texas. I then continued patrol in the Texas sector, although it was quite peaceful thereafter.

Sergeant Law is rushed into the central hospital on Manhattan for emergency surgery. Unconscious, Sergeant Law's body is full of blood as medics attempt to revive him and keep him stable. After several days of recovery Sergeant Law had survived the destruction of his vessel and the subsequent trauma at the hand of criminals. Without backup and with citizens awatch his craft was destroyed in the most heinous of crimes. He begins to write his patrol report sitting in his bed in a Manhattan hospital:
The patrol was surprisingly short, and unfortunately nearly killed me. I launched from Westpoint academy, a lone officer and started to patrol New York. After doing routine cargo scans of vessels passing Norfolk Shipyard and such, I started to head back to Westpoint. I was then in pursuit of a nomad who was identified as K'hara|Shamash[A]. The nomad kept retreating to and throw California Jumpgate and Westpoint trying to get me off his track. After much pursuit I headed to Norfolk Shipyard where a civilian stated that he was attacked by the nomad.
Heading into investigate, I then spotted the alien. I commenced pursuit when Hellfire Legion suspect [HF]-Carl.Anders used a cruise disruptor missile to stop me, stating to 'leave the alien alone' and that he is much a bigger problem. The suspect's vessel (B)[C][D] contained many LPI hostages, as well as other illegal contraband. I then demanded that the Hellfire Legion stand down and give the hostages or otherwise he will be under arrest. He refused and commenced to attack more LPI officers and destroying their vessels. I then warned the suspect[E] to comply to drop the hostages[F]. The Hellfire Legion refused and then I opened fire to make the suspect comply.
Unfortunately I quickly became outnumbered when two other craft came to support the Hellfire Legion in his combat against me, even though he had violated the law. This character was a one suspect Bronn, who commenced to support the other Hellfire suspect. Eventually due to the lack of backup and other friendly forces and surmounted with a large range of hostile entities, my vessel was destroyed.[G] This nearlly killed me in the process, as many of the shots pierced the armour and had severely wounded my torso and arm.
Evidence of suspect Bronn's actions are in evidence H. where the suspect not only engaged in supporting the Hellfire suspect in contravention of Article 1, Subsection 4 in contributing to a public disturbance and under Subsection 5 of perverting the cause of justice, but threatened another civilian to not help an LPI officer in distress. Hence, this suspect will be logged as a criminal in the LPI Criminal Database and an arrest warrant will be issued.
I continue to recover on Manhattan in order to continue my LPI duties.

After a quick recovery and getting back on his feet, Sergeant Vladimir Law exited his patrol craft and went onto make his patrol report for the day. He made himself some coffee in the LPI living quarters upon the Navy academy and then started to draft the report:
The patrol started quite action-packed. 3 Liberty Rogue's were spotted in New York. The suspects were not using tradelanes hence I began a sweep of the sector alerting other craft to the movement of the Liberty Rogue's. They then once the pursuit got closer fled to the border regions of Cassini and Galileo after I had rendezvous with LPI Deputy Chief Oliver Shaw.
After the pursuit I returned to patrol the New York sector and found a suspect, one Capt.Alfred.Owens on the radar a possible criminal with Artifact smuggler. I pursued the suspect[A] as he refused to stop(B]. After a 5 minute pursuit through debris fields and obstacles, the suspect entered the tradelane towards the Calfifornia jumpgate. I ordered control to disable the jumpgate[C], unfortunately it did not work. The suspect subsequently escaped, and then when I arrived at California Jumpgate was heading to the pirate base in the debris field.[D] I then started a vertical search to find the suspect, but the suspect docked onto a pirate station and fled.[E]
After the suspect was lost I attended a Prisoner Transfer with Deputy Chief Colin Sinclair. This will be detailed in a separate report about the prisoner transfer. In patrolling the Texas sector and enforcing the embargo, I heard chatter on the sector comms encouraging a pilot to run from the police to Bering. Quickly heading from LPI Sugarland, with sirens at full blare I attended the Bering Jumpgate. I found a suspect one Matilda-II[F][G]. The suspect was attempting to smuggle a large amount (4180 units)[H] in breach of Section 1 of the Embargo. The suspect was responding to the call when it made a run for it, jumping to Bering. I attempted to stop docking procedure[I] however to no effect the suspect jumped through.
After the suspect had jumped a citizen rushed up to me concerned and told me 3 Fury| pilots had been camping on a Jumpgate and were pirating the traders coming across, killing his friend in the process. I immediately responded and went to New York in search of the criminals. After some searching I found a large battle in progress between Bounty Hunters, a Navy battleship and the Fury| gang. I immediately went to investigate what was occurring[J]. The suspects are: Fury|Tyranus, Fury|Bane & Fury|Revan. These suspects were in battle against the navy vessel and bounty hunters. To mask their presence the pirates were holding pirate ID's however were acting as Freelancer's. I was only able to get one guncam of a suspect's cargo[K][L], Fury|Tyranus who was also hauling hostages from the battle.
After more of their pirates died, the suspect Fury|Tyranus started heading into the Dallas Debris Field[M] to flee. I disengaged pursuit due to LPI policies regarding proximity of enemy bases. However, the freelancer projection of the pirates were shown by the suspect Fury|Revan[N]. The bounty hunters and navy present then finished off the pirates without need of LPI assistance as I went to continue patrol.
I finished patrol on Planet Pitsburgh, and have begun to relax from the long patrol.

[x] Other: Prisoner Transport
After a successful day in patrolling Liberty space, the Sergeant started to collate the report of the Prisoner Transfer as escort with Deputy Chief Oliver Shaw:
Deputy Chief Oliver Shaw and I after a short patrol entered California to do a prisoner transport from San Diego Border Station to LPI Sugarland. We received reports from San Diego that their brigs were full of criminals and rif-raf waiting for their trial & detention in an LPI prison. Many of the awaiting prisoners were Liberty Rogues and the like who attempted to flout the law but got arrested and imprisoned.
We arrived at San Diego and the Deputy Chief loaded up 4080 prisoners onto the large transport, while I loaded up 40 and squeezed them into the cargo bay with a squad of marines on standby. It wasn't meant to be luxurious the trip for the prisoner's, it was to serve its purpose as a prison transport. I acted as escort in this LPI convoy.
We commenced to leave in convoy formation from San Diego towards Texas, all the while I was maintaining a sense of alert, just incase an attack was imminent in order to free the prisoner's from their fait on an LPI incarceration facility. The prisoner transport went smoothly at the start, and the prisoner's were quiet and if they weren't they were tazed to shut up.
Suddenly after entering Texas and sneaking past Alcatraz in a daring move that the Deputy Chief planned, we found ourselves in Texas. However suddenly we were attacked by many pirates and criminals attempting to free the prisoner's from the ship! I quickly acted and dispatched the pirates efficiently. Many of the criminals who attempted to raid the convoy died in space as we had no space to take them onboard: in some ways I think they deserved it. However we then started our way to LPI Sugarland to deliver the prisoners.
Within moments we sighted LPI Sugarland, and the prisoners were transferred to cells immediately. Deputy Chief Oliver Shaw requested boarding permissions and then the 4000 odd prisoners were delivered
I subsequently docked and transferred the prisoners I had myself. It was altogether a successful operation and the prisoners will have to enjoy their rehabilitation on LPI Sugarland because they're not going to get away for a long long time!

Sergeant Law actively is repairing his craft, making sure that his equipment will be fully operational the next time he goes out on patrol. Tweaking his guns, the previous patrol was well-fought. Proud of the achievements of the LPI and Liberty Primary Fleet, Sergeant Law finishes up his maintenance and orders more shipyard crew to finish repairs. After washing his hands Sergeant Law heads to the corner of the hangar and starts to type his report:
I launched from Planet Pitsburgh and started patrol patterns within New York. After not long on radar I found a smuggler, a one CX-T-Pilot[A]. The suspect refused to heed warnings to stop, and after 5 attempts I was able to close the distance and spot that the suspect had major amounts of Cardamine, 4830 units smuggling it through Liberty.[B)[C] Suspect continued to be uncompliant so the decision was to destroy the vessel and the illegal drugs onboard. After a 10 minute battle, the transport headed to Westpoint. I ordered Westpoint to disallow docking but the suspect did so anyway.[D][E] It was unfortunate that we had no LPI bomber backup or other bombers available to dispose of the vessel quickly, rather we relied on laser gunfire and mines.
After the suspect docked, myself and a bounty hunter who helped with LPI operations and should be commended for it spotted a Liberty Rogue, LR-Perfectly.Imperfect[F][G][H]. The suspect was carrying contraband and also was in Liberty. I gave warnings to free hostages and the Liberty Rogue did. Unfortunately when told he has to leave Liberty due to him being a criminal he refused and eventually I gave the order to open fire. A battle ensued[I], in which with the aid of Liberty Navy standing by and Bounty Hunters, I was able to terminate the suspect with some last shots.[J]
The patrol continued around Manhattan and towards Fort Bush when we spotted the suspect CX-T-Pilot once more in the vicinity.[K] We placed the vessel under arrest however the vessel started to flee and fled into Connecticut, making us unable to apprehend the suspect.
My patrol then metup with two Recruit Officers, LPI-Larry.Giulliani[RO][b] and [b]LPI-Kriss.White[RO] in the patrol of Texas. This allowed the recruit officers the time needed to see how patrol operations are conducted. At one point we spotted Unioners and ordered them back into Rheinland which they agreed to do. They also complied with contraband measures. This was an example of good police work for the Recruit Officers to take with them. RO Larry Giulliani especially performed admirably in all parts of the patrol.
After the patrol in Texas was complete, the patrol entered the final stage in New York. Finding ourselves scanning cargo around Westpoint, a suspect a one The-Ministry|Mimmey was found in an Outcast "Tridente" Gunboat in Liberty[L][M]. After telling the Freelancer that as he is a pirate and within that craft he is not allowed in Liberty Space and to leave immediately, the suspect continued to discuss this with officers[N]. After much discussion, I forced the suspect that he must leave Liberty Space through Texas. However instead of taking the plan which he did and was saying he was complying with, he was secretly heading to Buffalo Base. The reason why I chose to continue the mission was to escort the Freelancer who did not appear on radars as aggressive outside the boundaries of Liberty Space as required by law. Unfortunately at this time, we had to open fire and a battle commenced.[O]
Not long after LPI-Kriss.White[RO] was destroyed by the Gunboat as the recruit attacked it head on. It was after this that I had enough of the gunboat, which had destroyed a fellow officer's ship and as I rescued Kriss from the vacuums of space the battle continued. However the RO fought galliantly and therefore should be commended for acting appropriately at all times. However, not long after this the ship continued to fire upon me and the Navy, the navy then retreated to get bomber support when I was left alone, weaving between obstacles and making it hard for the gunboat to shoot me whilst calling for backup.
It was this backup that arrived in the form of Liberty Navy Secondary Fleet forces, however a suspect LR-Unsafe.at.Any.Speed[P][Q] spotted the battle and then started to attack myself and lawful forces. After what was already a long affair running into 30-40 minutes, the battle against the LR fighter was ended after my combat skills were able to contribute in wearing down the enemy to the point that he was destroyed by our glorious forces[R].
After this the Gunboat started to run to Buffalo Base, all in turn trying to evade destruction. It was then I fought more Rogue's coming out of the base, and destroyed them (//NPC's) as well as fellow Xenos fighters. However, throughout the battle I had lost all my nanobots and shield battery's due to prolongued battle without being provided any by the capital ship, so therefore I was left with a 35% integrity hull with operating shields. When this led me to support the Navy's offensive, the Gunboat destroyed me with its anti-fighter weaponry[S]. I then escaped from the craft with Kriss, propelling ourselves towards the nearest base.
The battle lasted a long time, and the other forces were engaging the enemy. However, the fact that the suspect was under arrest and we fought was heading the direction to the Texas Jumpgate that the decision was made by common sense that it was safe enough to do so due to the situation around us. After concluding patrol and after I hitched a ride back to Baltimore to repair my salvaged vessel, I have to show my gratitude to the naval and Bounty Hunter pilots that assisted in the patrol, as well as the LPI officers who fought gallantly.

I barely was done outfitting my new fighter, when Dispatch called in an emergency for all units around Manhattan concerning a group of Xeno having breached into Mahattan's space. Regardless of the risk of the situation and my inexperience, I believed that I could handle the situation by myself.
It seems like I was wrong, though. I moved in to assist the first units that answered the call and attempted to get the criminals to hold down and cooperate with me, which they refused: my fighter was quickly picked out and shot down. Luckily, my pod quickly and safely brought me back on Manhattan's surface.
I believe I'll have to be more careful about the fights I pick, in the future. Earlier even, as Sergeant Vlad specified, my fighter was also shot down by a criminal of the Ministry.
