Gentlemen,
It is my duty to inform you that Cpt. Adamson and the LNS Valhalla failed to check in last night. He called a meeting of the 226th SOC and then failed to appear. All subsequent attempts to contact the LNS Valhalla have failed. I know he's on assignment but I can't shake the feeling that something might have happened. Lt. Stark thinks I'm being paranoid but if you have any information please contact me, Cpt. Terell, or Lt. Stark. I'm sure its nothing but it's better to be safe then sorry. If any of you have any contacts within the government it would be helpful. Thank you for your time.

OOC: check out the post "Somewhere in Chugoku" to figure out what the heck I'm talking about. Let me know what you think. Oh and yes I did. Sorry about that.

Captain,
I am pleased to report that the LNS Thunderbolt is fully operational. I have uploaded a tactical analysis of her loadout. She has been balanced and tested with amazing results. We engaged and destroyed three Nomad Battleships with no damage. Shields held at 95%. Please let me know if you have any suggestions to make her as good as the Redbear. Thanks Captain.

Re: Ship Loadout
Greetings
Excellent. Let me say, your report is comprehensive and much appreciated. It seems the academy can still produce officers of quality as in my younger days. My eye, and the eyes of Texas, are upon you Captain. However, at moment we are still weapons-cold so continue your shake down of the LNS-Thurderbolt, but stand ready!
My only suggestion on your loadout is on emplacement configuration of weapons. I noticed your main weapons (Infernos and Razors) are widely spaced apart by your missle batteries. I wish to suggest you place your Infernos in emplacements 1&2 and Razors in 3&4. Such emplacement allows a smooth and quick transition during battle. Infernos are your shield busters and once there down you have a quick "rock-and-roll" to Razors, and back if situation calls for it. However, you must change your on/off switching under the Options window on your weapons station. I have mine set to 1,2,3,4 buttons as the switch for my main weapons.

I hope this is informative. In addition, continue your shake-down and keep me informed of progress.
Due to down-time, and the uncertainty of server (problem seems to be solved, wait and see), have found myself with an abundance of time on my hands. Especially, when my little bugger of a daughter has hit the sack. Such abundance of time has allowed me to articulate several proposals for review;
1. I propose a re-vamping of the ranks to run along the hierarchy of the U.S. Navy. My reasoning is that our present ranks have some flaws.
Admiral
Vice Admiral
Commander-is subordinate to Captain
Captain-see above
Major-is an Army rank
Lt.
Cadet-not out of the academy
My suggestion is such,
Admiral-insignia-4 stars
Vice Admiral-3stars
RearAdmiral(upperlvl)-2stars
RearAdmiral(lowerlvl)-1star
Captain-eagle
Commander-silver leaf
Lt.Commander-gold leaf
Lt.-double bar
Lt.jg(Junior Grade) silver bar
Ensign- gold bar
To keep it even simpler-
Admiral-4stars
Rear Admiral-2stars
Captain-eagle
Commander-silver leaf
Lt.-double bar
Ensign-gold bar
Doing so allows for adding additional ranks when our numbers grow. Also, it provides a clearer, at least for me, line of command. Sorry on this count, but my brief time in the service won't allow me to let this go:)
2. In addition, I propose a Table of Organization and Equipment chart for review. It is a rough draft and for proof-reading by all members. I do this also for more clarity of organization and authority.

3. Due to a question of imbalance posed by civil authorities (Igiss believe we may garner more troops than other Houses) as a LN aligned faction, I propose, in conjunction with elgatodiablo's order, we turn SA into an invite only House, with rank of canidate being above 30-40. All applicants must be approved by members and civilian authority. However, due to limits on civilian authority's time we allow probationary status with our approval, but final call rests upon civil authority.
However, High Command's leader is still going to remain: The Smoking Man, aka shadowy figure.
Here is my revision.
Governor-golden wreath
Admiral-insignia-4 stars
Vice Admiral-3stars
RearAdmiral(upperlvl)-2stars
Commodore
Captain-eagle
Commander-Silver leaf
Lt.-double bar
Sgt. - Silver bar
Ensign- gold bar
Cadet- No symbol

My suggestion is that sergeant is an Army term for a non-commisioned officer and contradicts an officer's insignia. Possible solution, remove sgt. and move ensign and cadet up one rung.
