Soldaten,
As I'm speaking to you, the current mission of the Omicronkorps, maybe the most successful unit of the Rheinwehr since the Valkyries, has ended. With the intel they gathered, we now have a clearer picture what's happening in our neighbourhood than ever. Though the conflict is ugly, the Oberkommando decided to pull Rheinwehr units back from the Omicron Delta system. That doesn't mean we're leaving the area completely though.
Scouts reported an uncharted jumhole in the Alps cloud recently, intel suggests it leads to a system, called Omicron Xi. The increased corsair activity, both armed forces and freighters hauling contraband suggest nothing good at the otherside and the least we want is a surprise attack in Munich, the system which saw better days.
The Omicronkorps, lead by Vizeadmiral Sommer is already on it's way to Munich. Our objective is simple, we're sending a small yet effective reconnaissance force into Xi. Primary objective is to chart the system and see who call themselves over there as 'local authorities'. Our combined force leaves the Munich system at 1900. In case of trouble, the Niflheimr and the Sleipnir are ready to assist you, as we relocated both battleships to Munich. Get ready, pilots.
Signed,
Admiral Siegfried Hermann
