Fleet Admiral Knight,
Initial recon flights have been uneventful, and we've managed to throughly investigate our immediate locale.
The Edge nebula is providing sufficient cover for our movements, and thus far we've avoided detection of the locals completely. That said, we've noted that the Core and Order both regularly transit through the system, not to mention the presence of what can only be Alien infrastructure.
The Hub itself is far removed from the standard flight routes of the system, distance offering it a second layer of defense beyond the nebula's veil. Now that we've grown comfortable navigating through the cloud, we'll begin expanding our recon flights into the neighboring systems.
We did detect a third presence in the system, however, like us, they seem to be avoiding contact that doesn't suit them. We've only picked up echoes of that particular ghost ship however, and it is unlikely that our patrol paths will stumble onto each other in the nebula.
Finally, during a routine patrol of the system today, I met up with Supreme Guildkeeper Nathan Archos of the Core, who expressed surprise at finding one of our fighters in the region. He mentioned that there are currently active trade agreements that allow us to dock in Rho, and as such, I would like to place a requisition request for a small transport that could be used to supply the Hub from this point. It will also help maintain cover.

[26.11.2018 20:20:32] Core|WV-Arbitrator.MK2: We've exchanged words with Harmony a couple times. Nailed down a few agreements in the process as well.
[26.11.2018 20:21:02] Core|WV-Arbitrator.MK2: But that was only in the name of trade. I don't know why a fighter is here.
[26.11.2018 20:21:06] H|-Adventurer: I... uh, might need to know what those are in detail.
[26.11.2018 20:21:32] H|-Adventurer: Would you accept the reason as "recon patrol"?
[26.11.2018 20:22:28] Core|WV-Arbitrator.MK2: Reconnaisance all the way from Liberty is quite far away.

Captain Michaels,
you did good work out there already. We've never had complete recon data of Minor. Though we knew about the huge graveyard, there was no specifics. And certainly no one was aware of the Junkers already working on salvaging them.
I hope you'll find out about this 'third presence' you mention before they find you.
As for the Core, there's indeed a standing agreement to trade. We sold them some of the salvage we acquired from the Bering salvage teams.
Our transports and escorts are free to pass through their main system, Rho. Though the means of reaching them were limited until recently. Negotiations with Rheinland were successful and our transports can pass through freely. Though without escorts.
We will see which transport we can spare or acquire for your mission.
Stay hidden for now. Is there anything else your squad requires?

Captain Michaels,
we've sent you a spare Kestrel for the time being. It's small enough to slip by most dangers on the route and should suffice. Though we're aware that an additional ship has to be acquired in the future.
The cargo hold of the vessel contains a Cruise Inhibitor. It's an experimental platform that does what the name suggests. We've had little time to test it within Bering.
So you've received enough materials to build one. We'd like you to document its uses and to see if it has the same effect on nomad travel as it has on our own ships.
Though of course we hope it doesn't come to a battle against a considerable nomad force.
Have you had any further success in scouting the area and the strength of the local groups?

Fleet Admiral Knight,
While I do thank you for the new equipment and ship, couldn't you have chosen something that didn't come directly from the scrapheap?
The freighters ten kinds of fucked up and is, frankly, quite useless for Omicron operations. It's got neither the durability nor firepower for the region, and this particular model seems to be falling apart at the seams. Our first attempt to navigate the nebulae almost resulted in the loss of the ship and the cargo, as a nomad patrol managed to not only detect, but catch the damned thing.
Anyways, rant aside, the Inhibitor is safely stored aboard the Hub, and we are currently examining the locale for an optimal deployment. Activity in the region seems to be on the rise, with Junkers, Order, Core, Nomads and even a Rheinland cruiser revealing themselves. We've made good progress with one of our assigned tasks, and will begin shipping of Nauru artifacts to Marshall presently.
Additionally, we've begun our incursions into the Nomad worlds. It's slow going, because we don't want to risk being followed home. Also, theres things like this on the other side of the gate.
