Because they are already better than other SHFs for different reasons.
Plier has been recently nerfed, and it's not an overpowered ship. I flew it, and I can confirm that. However, when it comes to spatial, when I was flying it, it did not seem broken nor 'better' as you're saying than other SHFs. Saying the ship is 'better' is sense you were killed or something, just like most of other people do, even ignoring the fact it has been nerfed. There are people who just really know how to fly these ships for ages, afterwards getting killed by them, come and say such things. Am I wrong? Define different reasons please.

But they have been nerfed alot from what they used to be, yet people still moan and complain about them being so good? Even though they are a 1 hit kill ship with a bomber, the only way they can insta fighters is double MR, or MR and Nuke or something similar to that loadout, and to insta kill a bomber it requires two MR and nuke or just TWO MR, and to kill a plier you need a bomber to SNAC it or gb or cap missiles or something along those lines.
The problem with the plier is, even with its nerf, it still takes a ton of work to bring just one down without the use of a 1 hit kill weap. As i saw last night during the event, there was 3-4 Gallic royals on a single Maquis Plier and it just tanked and tanked and tanked whilst carrying on with its merry business.

That single Plier was me, and the issue you are having is not the guns it can use but the fact it can mount a CAU VII armor upgrade, and a freighter shield. It is a very tanky ship which a Super Heavy Fighter is suppose to be. They are a multi-purpose ship, and anti fighter and anti bomber but also to provide added support to bomber squads. Which it does already by now using Scrochers and Neutralizer bombs. So all in all the SHF lines are now balanced to the point if they are heavily targetted they don't get destroyed like paper where they used to before, and they can hold there own against fighters and bombers.
I am scared of fighting bombers in my plier due to it being an insta kill weapon, and it is alot harder to insta kill a bomber with double MR then it would be a single SNAC, yes maybe my request of getting the Plier and OSC Shuttle to be able to use both MR and SNAC, but maybe restrict it so it can either mount a SNAC or it can mount MR. or SNAC/MR.
Let's not forget the MR can do good damage to fighters, but a SNAC can not insta kill fighters anymore, they can instakill SHF, BMB, Freighters and unarmoed transporters. I think gb's too but not 100%

Plier has a broken hitbox / shape. The crosshair is somewhere but not on the ship. It can mount a CAPITAL armor upgrade. Now you guys want a snac on that thing? You want a broken ship buffed?
Seems like the only solution of the Plier-problem is a Cruiser Mortar.
With the recent "nerf" plier is even more OP. Yes, it can be insta'ed by SNAC, but it's still hard to hit it. Plier can ista kill VHFs and lower, with full debs ra pe the shield of caps and with 2 scorchers assist bombers.
The powercore of the Plier and OSC shuttle is going to be increased to allow the SNAC to be fired (requiring a full core).
The Plier, despite its nerf last patch, is having its balance investigated. Its possible that I'll have to bulk up the model slightly if its problems aren't correctable with a simple hitbox redo/crosshair adjustment.
