the whole point that any major events are instantly resolved and we're left just writing on the forums our reactions that will inevitably amount to nothing as we're not allowed to influence the story

I hope that situation like this will become a catalyst for some sort of story dev ~ OF/players cooperation on a regular basis to prevent such uproars. Even though I understand why players can't have a full control over the story.
Especially when almost every OF wants to have an infinite growth of assets and resources.

Did he say why the change was made?
Quote:you won't change that back no matter what people say hah
Quote:No, I won't, because ultimately nobody actually wants anything to change. And it wouldn't be interesting or make the world feel like it was progressing at all if I encouraged that sort of thing.
The change was made for "progress" - honestly I just hope he stays the hell away from my regions. What's baffling that Issodun attack event that did work out well and got people engaged with nobody complaining afterwards about a vital solar removal was almost a complete coincidence. I am not sure if it's spite or incompetence of the Story Dev team that there is no communication prior to these changes at this point - take your pick.
The story dev lead - Reeves - is acting worse than Durandal at this point, luckily for us he doesn't have as much power over the mod as Durandal did, at least not yet. When he will it will be a ripe time to pack our bags hah - Durandal would get me banned for posting this about him so we are far from that point still luckily.
I return from my 800 year long sleep to see this? I'd be better off back in my stasis pod. Jokes aside, what i see the main problem here is not that Attica was rekt but that nobody in liberty lawfuls or unlawfuls knew beforehand. I'd say the lawfuls would have less of a problem with this if they were told what is going to happen when and how. Along with events to actually promote player activity. Instead it got rekt by the whim of the dev team who apparently don't give a singular miniscule damn or rather they do but they are too busy asking themselves "if we could?" and forget to ask themselves "if we should?". Or worse than this, they do ask theese questions, but they are so focused on changing this in the name of progress they forget to implement them smoothly in a natural way. I do understand that no matter what happens people will be complaining. But seriously 1 maybe 2 events that result in this outcome would've been completly fine. Instead it got rekt because <redacted> thats why. And the fact that the dev responsible for this allegedly stated that he will not reply to any criticism or feedback just shows that he knew full well what this decision will result in and he did not care. Yet he is affraid to face the consequences of his actions. Really mature and responsible behaviour from someone in a position like this. While i don't know if this is true or if it is what the reason behind it is i can only assume. The truth is if someone in a position like this is refusing to take criticism or feedback in any way shape or form and not even willing to communicate with people that are being affected said person should not be in a position like this to begin with. Oh well. I guess i'll keep my eyes open for now before i crawl back to that stasis pod for another 800 years.
Right then now ive bounced across the lawful and unlawful Of's just Thanos snapping Attica wasn't the correct way to force progress, If you really wanted it dead do a on rails event you know do something that spurs people to respond to the threat.
The Ex lane hacker in me is Reeing about that Infocard
The Ex LPI in me is displeased that there was no warning or even feedback about its yeeting
The navy in me is annoyed that we were basically told oh all those assets you had in the system were just idle while an emergency was happening
now to wrap this up things don't go poof out of existence without people in the system knowing so right now I have a really bitter taste in my mouth about the removal
I am ok with change......AS LONG AS IT MAKES SENSE!!!! if you wanna change Attica's ownership, cool. But you need to have an event or something for that. If you wanna make us RP correctly, you need to lead by example and dew it yourselves.
