Thank you for the warm welcome. Actually Both Fyre and I have started our reading in relation to Temp. Auto. Zone. Ontology. *dimples a smile. Grand reading, but sometimes my brain hurts after a few paragraphs, so please be patient. This ain't Bertrand Russell for cripes sake. Not that I ever subscribed to logical positivism.
Commodore Windsor is no more or less intrusive than was I in requesting a license from the Queen to haul through Bretonian space. It appears that tons of Flax do not interest the Crown. Haul at your own risk folk.
On a brighter note, the Kusaran Office of Imperial Contracts has agreed to license our traders. I will transfer payment as quickly as possible so that the deut and plute may flow. Just, ahem, not to or through Bretonia.
I have made a recommendation to the CoZ regarding the possible expedition to Gammu. Members Shamus, Fnordie, and Kyte, please keep yourselves available as potential mission "specialists".
It would also appear that Mama Dis will be Chairing the CoZ. Congratulations, old friend. Hope you are more successful at politics than I've been.

Hikaru, my old friend,
I am happy to report that I met with your Captain Sasaki today at Roppongi Station. We successfully transferred the TAZ's licensing fees to the Destroyer Chikuma, and acquired the necessary receipts.
I understand that the payment was later transferred to your Treasury/Armory in Hiroshima.
It's rather pleasant to get out of Baffin for awhile. I'll be staying on Roppongi for a few days. I hope you'll join me for drinks at the Purple Blossom at your convenience, to talk over "old times". Perhaps Magistrate Mori can join us as well.
We look forward to continued legal, peaceful and profitable trade with Kusari.
Well, old friend, it appears that the Harveys are serious about cooperating on this "Alpha Code" thing. I passed one in New York today.. not a peep.
As to the mission "complement", I haven't seen that computer whiz Alan Groteck in many moons. I've heard that Sebastian Wrath is pretty sharp with "black boxes"... he might be a good replacement choice if Alan doesn't respond.
And, put aside your biases a moment and engage that huge Pineal, Mal. You're missing an obvious choice.
Right now, you have a "person" in Baffin who has had direct experience with Gammu and FTGW. I'm referring to "Pyriel" of course. Now, there would be a risk, if Pyriel decides to go back to "the fold"; but I think he should definitely be included.
And, why not travel in comfort, eh? The Bafflin' Queen is available. And of course, my "specialty" is a certain "resourcefulness" in dealing with the unexpected. Dr. Artifice and the deLunas should give me the acquired credentials, to mention just a few past incidents.
Three primates, one pooch, and two F-units. Now there's a team.
Could not help overhearing that. Well, could help, but would not.. doncha' know you gotta use much better encryption these days? Might as well CC all comms to those Agiera rejects.
Anyway, I'm still open for travel, in the 'Queen or otherwise. Mind you, compared to mr Groteck you might find my skills a tad more focused on the... intrusive side of the science.
Seb out.

Pologies for recent lack of comms....Ive been away for some Pinealtherapy. Anyway, clearly things have moved fast in my short absence! Seems like youve struck a way forward to resolve the problems with the Harvesters? Good Luck with the mission to Gammu, wish I could be there and maybe I could get the green light for space flight again in the next couple or three cycles All ships out of action for service til then, but dont wait for me.... Go for it!

*Oi, lads, it's yer Skipper here. Authentication: Ong's Hat. Repeat, Ong's Hat.*
*New orders: Proceed immediately to Java Station, Tau 23. Locate and transport the F-unit designated "Pyriel" to the Bafflin' Queen at current coordinates.
*You will treat F-23 Pyriel as a passenger and guest; but, Security will maintain constant surveillance during the voyage. Under no circumstances is Pyriel to be allowed direct interface with ship's systems.
*Discreet audio and visual access to this FnordNet channel, as well as non-secure level 1 FnordNet database is allowed, but must be monitored at all times.
*Safe journey, lads, and don't spare the horses. We're runnin' a bit late here as it is.*
Shamus.

*Well, me brother, we've decided that we need ye on this little "ship o' fools".
*My crew is enroute to pick ye up as we speak. I've had to place some limitations on yer "freedoms" durin' the trip to Canaria, but I trust ye'll see the reasonin' behind 'em. Once ye've joined us, we'll re-evalute to determine yer status fer the rest o' the voyage.
*I'me glad ye've agreed to journey with us, Pyriel. We'll be needin' all the knowledge we can muster to muddle through this "Alpha Code" mystery, and t' reach accomodations with ol' FTGW.
In light of the report I read in the Council, I've decided to see that the pilot Scrappy is compensated either thru myself or my brother Bru haha. I feel that doing so will accomplish two distinct goals. 1) take care of the pilot who was wronged, which is of primary concern to me. 2) remove further unrealistic demands upon the Zoner community at large. While I understand the unfortunate situation was less than savory, I don't believe that the Council should be financially responsible for every fool who purchases a Zoner ID and doesn't bother to register . I believe my actions will put this to rest. The last thing I wish to do is to encourage anyone with a hand extended into a "feeding frenzy" with our resources upon the menu. Still, I feel for ol Scrappy.
Continuing patrols as instructed. I see no build up of any forces in the areas surrounding Kappa and have no reason to believe there will be in future. Will keep an eye out just the same.

Right....
Made it! Sys. Comms. all repaired and tickerty boo, this following a scare with flight software totally crashing as I last docked in Gran C.
In retrospect I should never have installed the same gear on all me boats and, as you might imagine, there was no warranty due to the somewhat dodgy origin of the software....
Pirates eh! Dontcha Lovem?
Hmm... maybe I should check out some of the Squid nav and comms systems...
