"If I was ever to listen to a fool such as you, Hone, I wouldn't be fighting for what I believe is right. Call this treason if you wish, I know where my loyalties are, and they're to the people of Bretonia. This war was uncalled for, and is a disgrace to the people of this house. Now, if I remember correctly, you were one of the ones crying for war when I was trying to end it."
He mumbles something under his breath and shakes his head.
"Commander Darrenson, I am sorry for the loss of your crewmen, and those that were killed in action that fateful day. There is no turning back without the threat of imprisonment and the gallows for you and your men. I hope you're absolutely sure about this. If you are, I am glad to have you on my side. Things need to change for the better."
CLASSIFIED TRANSMISSION ESTABLISHED -
TO: Vizeadmiral Hans Putzkammer
"I would rather see this war ended between Rheinland and Bretonia. I don't care who the hell started it, both sides are to blame as far as I can see it. I'll also assume that after you get this transmission, that any chance of an audience with the Kanzler will be denied.
Vice Admiral, if you thought for one moment, that I would allow aid from people who apparently attacked Freeport One, and Bowex vessels in Bretonian space. Then you were wrong. Civilian lives were lost, Admiral, and that is something I want to prevent.
I'm going to put my demands up straight. No one wanted this war, and because of open conflict, I had to do something off the wall. I don't care about your bloody pride, nor the Bretonian's pride. I don't care for your propaganda or the Bretonian propaganda. My demands? Return your fleets home to Stuttgart and open formal diplomatic talks with Bretonia. Without getting hot-headed.
I know that I'm not in a position of strength to demand anything, but my demand is simple. End this war, without further conflict. If you truly see justice and freedom in my cause, you'll find yourself helping me end the war without any further struggle."
