Today, i was contacted by the captain of the Amakusa. He was asked by a member of the Kempeitai to comply to an inspection.
After my arrival near Kansai, i allowed the officer to inspect the Amakusa in my presence.

That officer seemed to belong to a division of the Tokketai that, to my knowledge, was disbanded.
All this is quite confusing and i hope you are informed about this all, Takahashi-san.

After she inspected the vessel, the officer asked to talk to me in private.

Here are the records of the conversation i had with this officer :
I took the liberty to record it.

[KNF]Kh.Ryoma.Sakamoto: *Sits in front of her and gazes at her* First. Your name.
[KNF]Kh.Ryoma.Sakamoto: You indeed have an uniform of the Tokketai. And the marking of an unit that was disbanded, if i'm correct.
Kuro.Tenshi: Oshoku. Kuroi.
Kuro.Tenshi: And it was not 'entirely' disbanded. Merely the active flight-wing.
[KNF]Kh.Ryoma.Sakamoto: Right. Who are you taking your orders from.
Kuro.Tenshi: Admiral Takahashi, via Tokketai Combined headquarters.
Kuro.Tenshi: Though it is an indirect chain of command. I doubt Takahashi would know an agent of my rank.
Kuro.Tenshi: That's why it is remarkably conviniant you decided to show up.
[KNF]Kh.Ryoma.Sakamoto: You didn't quite answer, officer. Who is your direct superior.
Kuro.Tenshi: It depends on assignment.
[KNF]Kh.Ryoma.Sakamoto: *Almost sighs* You aren't helping. Very well. I will find out one way of another.
Kuro.Tenshi: Agent Tamamo covers joint affairs with combined fleet, Agent Sakai Ryou is my most 'direct' agent, when dealing with matters like this.
[KNF]Kh.Ryoma.Sakamoto: *Only then does he gazes at the document* That Deuterium. What is it for?

[KNF]Kh.Ryoma.Sakamoto: And its purpose?

Kuro.Tenshi: Then allow me to explain.
[KNF]Kh.Ryoma.Sakamoto: I'm listening.
Kuro.Tenshi: Ancient legends spoke of Gods, Spirits, Magic, many such occult things. And some who could wield such powers.
Kuro.Tenshi: Most have passed these off as mere supersticious nonsense. But... not everyone.
Kuro.Tenshi: We belive, beyond those myths, there is a potential scientific fact...
[KNF]Kh.Ryoma.Sakamoto: Hm. I remember that an officer of the Kempetai i met had the same words.
Kuro.Tenshi: Most likely. Some scientists are looking at a potential untapped form of energy.
Kuro.Tenshi: An as yet undiscovered subspacial energy field generated as a by-product of living things.
Kuro.Tenshi: One that, before now, we had no capacity to detect or interact with.
Kuro.Tenshi: Because of the connection to the occult, most scientists haven't been listening.
[KNF]Kh.Ryoma.Sakamoto: For good reasons.
Kuro.Tenshi: It 'may' or 'may not' be nonsense, but the potential, if it turns out to be genuine, could lead to a scientific revolution.
Kuro.Tenshi: That is why the Kempeitai and by extention, my unit of the Tokketai are interested.
[KNF]Kh.Ryoma.Sakamoto: This deuterium is for experiments, then.
Kuro.Tenshi: Partly. It is to fuel some of the equipment.
Kuro.Tenshi: Currently development is stalled due to a lack of funding, hence why we need to go to lengths to get the Deuterium.
Kuro.Tenshi: If we can prove something, we can almost certianly gain civic investment.
Kuro.Tenshi: The benefits for the Naval Forces in terms of new advanced technology would be significant.
[KNF]Kh.Ryoma.Sakamoto: 'Would'... 'Can'. All this is hypothetic.
[KNF]Kh.Ryoma.Sakamoto: Are you intending to use KNF resources for this?
[KNF]Kh.Ryoma.Sakamoto: Hence this inspection?
Kuro.Tenshi: Yes. With your approval.
Kuro.Tenshi: Due to the nature of the experament, we cannot trust Samura or Kishiro.
[KNF]Kh.Ryoma.Sakamoto: Why?
Kuro.Tenshi: Simple. If it proves accurate, one of them gains a monopoly.
Kuro.Tenshi: That could throw the balance of Economics out of whack.
Kuro.Tenshi: Or worse, cause yet another bout of political instability.
[KNF]Kh.Ryoma.Sakamoto: Several projects were done with a cooperation of the two Kereitsus already.
Kuro.Tenshi: Nothing with potential effects this far reaching.
Kuro.Tenshi: If the experament works; this could be a technological revolution the likes of which humanity has never witnessed.
[KNF]Kh.Ryoma.Sakamoto: *Sighs* I will have this reported to the High Command. Only then will you receive a definitive answer.
Kuro.Tenshi: If it does not; then all that has been wasted was a few tonnes of Deuterium and a few million credits.
Kuro.Tenshi: Very well.
Kuro.Tenshi: I will inform my superiors.

Lastly, during my patrol, i was forced to destroy a smuggling vessel that was hauling Cardamine.
