Corsair Expansion?

The Corsairs need to pick a front for expansion and stick to it - and not spread themselves too thin if they want it to last.

For a push into Rheinland, the Corsairs should consider cutting a firm deal with the Unioners - and use their base in Munich as a rally point.

The Corsairs could even establish a secret base in southern Sigma-13, another rallying point. Yanagi is no good as it is a 'public' base.

I doubt that would work. Unioners are allied to the Red Hessians and they even broke off a former alliance with the Corsairs for some unknown reason.

Unlike the Outcasts, who have a Mafia-like network of alliances with pirates in every Sirian House, the Corsairs' allies are small bands of terrorists or gangsters that are ill-equipped to aid the Corsairs in taking over an entire nation.

Out of the two possible Houses that the Corsairs could attack (Bretonia and Rheinland), I would say that Bretonia is actually a better nation to target. There are no viable allies for the Corsairs in Rheinland, but in Bretonia, the Corsairs are allied with the Gaians (although I have no idea where the lore for this alliance came from) and have a chance of allying with the Gallic Royal Navy and launching a joint attack on Bretonia.
