I come to you after running into a crazy bastard by the name of Thierry Truchon. He was fighting a wing of navy fighters on his own, which at the time seemed hardly fair to me. I moved in to assist, evening the odds. A few minutes later what was left of them was retreating and I opened a comms channel. The first thing I heard was laughter, the second that while thankful he was only playing with them and didn't require my help. I noticed one of his engines was venting plasma, seemingly damaged by shrapnel and notified him, he replied that it was only minor damage and he should be alright. I then pointed out that the Navy would probably return soon with some bigger guns. He suggested we move to a location where we could lay low for a while. I agreed and on the way we started talking, he asked me why I, a Freelancer, helped him. I told him that I think the Royals and their navy are just a bunch of windbags who lost sight of their own humanity and think themselves above the rest, something well demonstrared in their stance towards Sirius. As I am a Freelancer looking for adventure and wealth, I have accumulated a particulary bad reputation as a troublemaker and pirate among the Gallic authorities. Consequently, I care very little for said authorities and the Royal Douchebags that rule this pompous kingdom and will gladly assist in putting them down, to teach them some humility.
He seemed satisfied by this and asked if I had ever considered joining the Legion, to which I responded I had, just simply never taken any steps. We talked a bit more, during which he told me about his experience in the Legion. A while later we parted ways with my promiss I would think about it.
I have thought about it, and I concluded that the Legion does indeed interest me, and that both the Legion and I can benefit from eachother. I hereby offer the Legion my services, including but not limited to that of a pilot. I must admit I am not the best pilot to be found in Gallia, but I have survived this long and always seek to improve myself.
