We do not patrol areas outside of our ZoI, as it has been said earlier: we pass those systems, in other words: going in typically a straight line to other jumphole/jumpgate. However, once again I remind that this is a typical behavior. Sending signals around, trying to establish contact may result in making Keepers taking interest in the source of the signals. What goes then depends on the situation and the environment. They may try to contact back, but may also result in hostile reaction, there is no certain answer to that. Nor will I say what result will be in this or that situation, it's up to you to find that out. Discovery is dynamic in it's nature so it's always a risk trying to establish a contact. This is why the faction is using the different concept. It's not the cage, nor will I ever make it a cage. As for contacts: some where successful in making non-hostile contacts, some failed to do so, but don't expect Nomads singing songs and telling you fairy tales just because you want them to (just saying that in general, because some people think we must talk to them on their demand). Many dangers lurk in the outer systems, better not be asleep in the cockpit while passing by. Be on guard and I will repeat it: it's fairly easy to avoid Keepers, it's not like we are going to announce our presence to whole system every time we jump into it, sorry, but that's not going to happen. Just like we are constantly monitoring adjacent systems to see if people are gathering massive forces (last time if I remember correctly it was 16 players in a single group going after just 4 players), so that we can avoid battles we have no chance to survive in.
