Joseph Christenson entered the room and took his place at the podium. Looking over the Commons' members, he could tell most had already consulted the voting results and knew the outcome.

"Honorable Members of Parliament, the vote on The Settlement and Colonization of Sprague Bill has finished. With fourteen votes and four absences we have a result of ten in favor, and four in opposition. This bill has been passed by Her Majesty's House of Commons and will now be sent to the House of Lords for their decision."

"With the passage of this bill, we are ready to move to other business. My office will be accepting proposals for new bills and debate topics to be discussed by yourselves. The completion of the Sprague bill will take precedence, however, should the Lords send it back here with proposed amendments. Thank you."

Christenson stepped down from the podium, holding the formal paper version of the bill, purely an exercise of tradition in a time where everything was done via computers, and began making his way towards the House of Lords.
