Actually, if they blew up Sol after the ships went off.. they may have been wishing to repel what they probably saw as an invasion into their territory. Just a thought.

Anyway, Keepers aren't pirates, they are terrorists in the loosest sense of the word, and more akin to a government military or police force. As such, they don't demand cargo. They just shoot carriers of Nomad things on sight, and what would they want with other cargo?
