' Wrote:I do read the info cards. Which is why I asked the question. I play RepEx and have seen first hand the RM be trigger happy as I often work directly with the RM. That is how they RP. The RP is supported as far as the info cards are concerned. I have no problems with the RM RP. I support the RM. I fight with the RM.
The info card does not make any mention of Liberty Forces being hostile or even unfriendly. Yet 2 different RM players killed the same Liberty Police character today within 5 minutes of each other in NB with no system chat or any cause. You do not feel that is a tad trigger happy? The RM got a hold of Hoodlum and the issue is resolved.
Just putting that out there to show that info cards are not the whole of the law. Liberty and Rheinland do not get along. Neither force is welcome in the others systems. *shrugs*
I am getting tied of people jumping on my ass for very plainly spoken posts I make. Maybe if folks have issues with them they could pm me to see were I am coming from instead of making the kind of uninformed posts I get accused of making.
Just to clarify things, Rick. I'm sorry I wasn't following this thread so I could clarify this earlier. There was no cause as far as you had knowledge off. Read the first post here:
I have to say it is also a tad tiring to play lawful when people have little to no regard to RP whatsoever. If I, as RM, say "stop" while within my jurisdiction, you either stop or face the consequences of your actions. I try, man, I try to bring back some RP sense even to the most ridiculous situations.
So, this guy shows up as LPI escorting traders. If that's not bad enough that he is of whatever police force randomly escorting traders, he is also an armed force from a house that happens to be in a very unfriendly (to say the least) standing with Rheinland at the moment. To top it all he not only questioned orders to leave, but he and his friends (the traders he was supposedly escorting) started something of a flame war with a RM admiral. Still we refrained from just shooting the guy on spot at that time and ordered him out.
So, after some time the same guy returns to Rheinland like nothing happened. Excuse me my limited patience, but I'll only go out of RP once for a person. That guy was not only knowingly in transgression of sovereign territory as far as my character is concerned, but also had a very recent record of disrespecting local authority. So yes, I shot him with very little RPing of it at that particular time, but I can assure you he got a lot of it when you weren't around. And to be completely honest with you, I didn't have to chase him around like that, I could've just blasted him with my first salvo, I decided to do so and to allow him to hit cruise to see if he'd wake up already to what he was doing, guess what, he didn't.
The other RM shot him for the very same reason, I was docked at the planet and AFK at the moment, so I couldn't tell him the guy was already dead. And, guess what again, even though the guy was already dead, he was still sitting outside New Berlin. I had to call Hood at that time to get things sorted out with these precise words: "Hood, sorry to bother you, but can you help me with something here? I don't want to shoot this guy yet another time." If that sounds trigger happy to you, well, what else can I say?
Things I have to put up with:
Bounty Hunter IDed Kusari Battlecruiser fooling around New Berlin with little to no regard to our orders.
Corsair Gunboat, IDed Corsair, IFF Corsair, but starts whinnying after we start shooting it on sight saying "I did stop for inspection as you ordered".
Traders fast docking avoiding inspection.
Bounty Hunter character defending GMG against RM inside New Berlin. (this one have been already sorted out, but is an excellent example).
Bretonia Police mining diamonds in Dresden.
Random house police/military flying about in Rheinland.
I could do this for days, and it's a bit relaxing, but what I'm trying to say is: If you happen to jump into New Berlin and see us doing strange things like shooting a trader or a police pilot, do not automatically jump to the conclusion that we are trigger happy.
