On the "civil" side of Sins, John Holliday sat in a fine suit with his kimono adorned wife. They sat awaiting their dinner order, savoring a glass of Gallic Wine as they waited.
"I'm glad you came out, Dahlin'," he said with a sigh, "I was getting kind of lonely without you and the kids. Our twins are doing rather well."
"Hai," she smiled in return, "they are nursing now so it less baggage to carry. My breasts go with me everywhere!" she joked
"That they do, Dahlin'" he smiled.
As she took a sip, he asked her, "So how do YOU feel?"
She smiled and nodded, "I fee very good."
"Excellent!" he answered.
There was then a brief silence as they took sips of their wine. Midori sighed and said to him straight faced.
"We do have on problem, John Henry."
"Which is?" he inquired.
"Our twins. They do not have names yet," she stated.
"That, Dahlin', is so true. With so much going on, we never discussed it," he replied.
They sat, thinking, about names. Doc didn't want to name his son after himself but he did like his father's middle name of Burroughs.
"I just can't think of anything....suitable," he said in thought for our son.
"How about our daughter?" asked Midori, also in thought.
After a moment of thought, Doc said, "Elizabeth. Elizabeth Karen Holliday."
She just smiled her approval and nodded, "Hai."
Still, he couldn't think of a name for his son.
Midori swirled the wine in her glass a bit. It was obvious she had a question.
"What's on your mind, Dahlin?" her husband asked.
"I wanted to name him in tribute of my late brother," she said, afraid he would dislike it. "Kentaro...but I cannot think of middle name."
"Hm....." thought Doc as he pondered, thinking of a name that would fit. After several minutes, he thought of a name long lost, a doctor who made a difference in his life a lifetime ago.
"Crawford," he said, "Kentaro Crawford Holliday."
"Very nice," replied a smiling Midori.
They then raised their glasses and Doc toasted, "To Elizabeth Karen and Kentaro Crawford."
"To Elizabeth and Kentaro," replied the smiling Midori. They klinked glasses and drank, just in time for their arriving dinner.
