I suppose it's one of those things where gameplay comes before RP. Imagine if all the gate and jumphole to enter bretonia from the taus would be locked off. Just wouldnt work really.
You'd be surprised at the conclusions irrational fear makes people jump to.(Refering to Sirians fear of a repeat of the incident.)
But I'd still like to hear your reasoning as to why my statement isn't a possible reason.
