Masha.Biach stood quietly in line awaiting her turn to speak to the woman behind the desk. She did not allow her eyes to roam from the point behind the nape of the neck of the candidate directly in front of her, but her vision was not impeded, as she had learned to use her peripheral view and other senses to orient herself while standing at attention. The sound of the shotgun blast did not shake her conviction, if anything, it strengthened with each passing moment. While the thought of dismissal was not a pleasant one, Masha came with a question that she needed answered. Stepping up to the desk, she spoke flatly.
"I am here to apply."
Alicia looked up and handed the woman a number. She had seen so many try and fail, that these candidates ceased to be worthy of her full attention. Her eyes returned to the paperwork before her as Masha spun on her heel and took a seat.
