Factions that have been on the hotlist are ill positioned to suggest events which culminate in their possession of system resources as a natural evolution of the ID they're sure to be granted due to their lack of connection to the faction they purport representation.

Meaning.

You guys are small. You guys are a weak faction in a meta sense, couldn't care less about your text in te faction write up, your member base is insunstantial and there is still a lot of work to be done in the wake of your near disbanding. Announcing something like this goes well beyond the scope of biting more than you can chew.

Smaller, more organic events would be the word of the day. Announcements such as this will only serve to draw ire towards you and yours regardless of the claims of theory crafting.
