Again, I would like to extend my apologies that nobody of our personnel department has gotten around to dealing with your application yet. I can only say that we have had a lot coming over our desks lately, so I have decided to take these matters in my hands for now.

I have looked through your document and I am quite pleased with what I see - However, since you seem to possess a rather peaceful personality yourself, and I want to affirm that there is nothing wrong with that, you should at the same time not expect all of our employees to look upon our competition, or even the frogs, quite as kindly!

Of course, we are always happy to accept trainees who enjoy their work and are eager to get it done. Before that, I would like to extend the offer of an interview with our HR department to you, on Scarborough station at 19:00, Newcastle time.
