Dear Frau Richter. I am interested in becoming an employee as an pilot in Daumann's transport fleet.
My filled in application form is as follows:


Name: Hermann Otto

Age: 32

Short bio:
Hermann was born on planet Nuremberg. Because of his father, Karl Otto, being a transport pilot, Hermann grew up in charge of his mother Rita Otto, who is a primary school teacher on planet Nuremberg.
Although little Hermann missed his father's presence dearly, he decided to become a space pilot too early in his life. While class mates wanted to become firefighters or policemen Hermann was sure: flying to the stars will be my life.
So after high school Hermann studied Space Navigation, Astrophysics and Spacecraft on Nuremberg's Space Academy to find his way to the stars his father kept on talking about to his son every time he came to visit his family.
After his study and with a printed warm pilot license in his pockets, Hermann finally started to make his dream come true. Against his mother's advice he sold everything he had to buy one of those little things, that are ready for space flight but consists of rarely more than a pilots cabin an engine and a fuel tank. In order to earn the money Hermann needed not to survive only but to keep his little spacecraft going, he offered taxi services.
But soon he realized that neither his spacecraft nor his money lasts enough to leave civilized space behind and to explore the real depth of space.
So Hermann sold his spacecraft to buy a small transport instead, spending another time all his spare money.
Some years of trading throughout nearly every corner of Rheinland space followed.
But trading on someone's own account while the big companies monopolizes the markets is nearly as hard work as taxi services. And after Hermann was finally robbed and his ship nearly blasted up by some pirates, he decided to change flags.

Why do you want to work for Daumann?
My granddad was employed by Daumann Heavy Construction as a transport pilot. And so was my father. Might be old fashioned to do the same as they did, but I want to follow their tracks.
And there are enough pirates out there, robbing every little trader passing, while they dare not to stop the ships of the big companies allied to state and police.

Why do you think Daumann should hire you?
I have got some experience in handling both little spacecrafts, including trading vessels, and bigger transports.
The space of the Rheinland core systems and some bordering are well known to me.
And after all I have got some pilot's blood floating in my veins and the song of the stars in my ears.
