Why is the community population declining?

Simply put, these powerhouse organizations are not compelled at all to deal with, accommodate, or be kind to independent (usually newer) players. And then these players can't advocate for themselves on a message board which really should be tangential to the game itself, but somehow exceeds the actual game in importance.

I'll quote myself to say that, look, here's a perfect example of what I'm talking about.

Ideally I'd have something to promote symbiosis in some way, but I'm at a loss for what that thing would be.

I think moving much of the forum RP ingame to some sort of better application/mailbox system would help tons. Perhaps a way for FLHook to interact with the forums (yes, it's possible and not hard at all to code)
