My name is Samuel Dravis, a representative for the Concordance Extraction Corporation. I doubt that any of you have heard much about us before now, and that is to be expected. Most of our work has been carried out in relative seclusion and privacy on various research stations.

I am contacting you in regards to a new business opportunity. For a long time now your various houses have battled for control over resources to fuel your various industries, only to be challenged time and again by independent corporations such as the IMG. We at the CEC believe we have the answer to your problems.

Through years of patient research we here at the CEC have developed blueprints for a most impressive new ship that can mine entire planets by pulling them apart via gravity teathers. We call this process planet-cracking. Unfortunately our corporation does not have the funds or facilities needed to build a working prototype. Which is why we have turned to you.

With your help we may advance the cause of human progress. Each house would, of course, receive their own Planet-cracker class mining ship in due time. But to do so we require a small team of your best scientific minds and funding. The prototype would be built in a neutral location devoid of house influence, to avoid the appearance of favoritism.

Again, your help is vital to this projects success. Project Ishimura's success or failure rests on your shoulders.
