[Subject]: A conversation with Erich Klugmann
[Opening Transmission]
A little over 25 hours ago, I ran into a member of the VWA terrorist organisation. The VWA is a militia under the leadership of the banned Bundschuh political party. This occurred at Heisenberg Research Station at the Koeln system where I was meeting with an asset of mine. I attempted to grasp the opportunity to turn this man over to our side, to make him an informant. Unfortunately, I was unable to give an offer he couldn't refuse. I was not aware of it at first, but I was in fact speaking to Erich Klugmann, the leader of the militia group. We had an interesting conversation but in the end it led to nowhere. Neither of us engaged during this meet as it was in too close proximity to the station and because I didn't want half the criminals to begin shooting at me. It would've endangered my cover. Excerpts of the conversation we had are posted below, as is a gun camera footage of his ship.
During our conversation we discussed many things such as the history of the fatherland and our respective organisations. I attempted to find out as much as I could about the man before I decided how to bring up the topic of becoming an informant. I discovered his past and found that he was in a position to become a member of the Bundestag before he was driven to terrorism. I offered him a deal: in exchange for him providing information about the Bundschuh and its plans, names of important individuals, locations etc., we would clear his record, extract him, present him as a hero of Rheinland and give him the 'opportunity' to pursue his left wing goals peacefully through the Bundestag. I felt that we would at least be able to keep an eye on him and his influence if he were an elected official inside the Bundestag rather than the leader of what could become a notorious terrorist organisation. That was if the Directorate approved it in the first place.
Unfortunately the man was an ideologue. His experiences have turned him against the Kanzlers administration permanently and we will have to resort to very difficult and extreme measures in order to turn him over to our side.
This man was the leader of the VWA. If his bottom level recruits are just as extremist and fanatical as him, we will have a serious problem in our hands. That is all I have to report.
