I followed Sov's link to DBoy..it's so good I'm posting it again!
here y'all go! DBoy.. you're a genius! (plenty of those around here!)
Now, a lot of people on the forums start requesting to get their tags fixed because they messed up on their rep sheet. Well sorry to say guys but it's not the admins job to fix your tag, you have to do it yourself. Here are a couple useful tips to help get you going.
-----------------------
1. Failing missions is a great and the safest way to lose a tag. It will bring down the reputation of that one faction and not touch the others like killing NPCs would. How to do it? Well.
- Find a base that hands out missions for that faction.
- Take the mission
- Hit F6 and then abort mission
- Repeat
Once you have run out of missions on that base, Hit F1, Select New Character, and then log back in. You should have a new handful of missions afterwards. Continue doing that method until the reputation of the faction is as low as you want.
-----------------------
2. Bribing is something that can help in a lot of ways, but then screw you up in others. Bribes will allow you to get a quick boost on the faction you're trying to gain a tag with, but when doing this make sure you know what factions will be effected. It also helps in getting your guard reputation up with factions that don't give out missions.
-----------------------
3. Shooting NPCs... In my opinion it's not really the smartest move, but can be required in order to get your reputation moving how you want it. Example, you want to be an Outcast? Then shoot Corsairs and Bounty Hunters. Liberty Navy Pilot? Shoot Xenos and Rogues, ect. Though, when using this method make sure you know what factions are going to be effected. By shooting just a few NPCs can turn your entire reputation board red or give you a tag you don't want. And that's not fun to try and fix.
-----------------------
Now, a warning. Keep your reputation board in roleplay! What would you say if you were a Liberty Navy pilot, and a Xenos comes in to attack you but only to see that the NPCs aren't shooting the Xenos? Unfair isn't it? That's out of RP and should be fixed as soon as possible. So if you're a Bretonian pilot, make sure you're hostile to Kusari. Corsair? Make sure your hostile to the Outcasts, Ect ect. Make yourself a good example to other players to keep the game fair.
