But it can't really be considered the same as docking in the middle of a fight..
In this new age of technology etc.. why wouldn't repair robots be a valid form of repairing your ship in the midst of a battle? Since the game itself doesn't have automatic repair robots, it could be conceivable that a 'robot' (or even a human pilot) could pilot a repair ship to assist its owners, whatever ship they may be in. Especially in battles involving clan members, that have access to funds and technology to utilize this asset..
Whereas looking at actually docking on a planet or a station, this would take much more time in reality than would be practical in a fight. Taking the time to dock might just unbalance the fight in favour of your enemy, and would not really be a feasible option..
