To whom it may concern,

The Kingdom of Bretonia has recently received a communication from a new entity calling itself the "Natio Octavarium". They, with the support of several wealthy and influential people from our respective nations and shared protectorates between them, have set themselves up in the Independent Worlds under the protection of the Vagrant Raiders.
Although the Raiders were never a significant problem for the Kingdom, it is my understanding that things were quite different (at least in their eyes) for yourselves.
Given their shared proximity to our Houses and likely any future dealings in the territory it would be prudent to know your own feelings towards this group and their claims to the area. These appear to include the Kansas system and both a small region in 'your half' of Magellan and Humboldt as protectorates.
