Sadly the price is still way too high for normal use, but it's really amazing to see this progress being made.
Not just because of some "dumb meat production" (without harming any animals at all - take that, vegetarians who don't eat meat because they think it harms the animals!), but also because of the possibiltiy to one day create organs, and no longer need donors.
Hopefully the damn "ethics" people blocking such progress will also shut up one day...
I bet quite a few of those vegetarians also belong to the ethics group, funny thought, isnt it?
I was thinking about writing that, decided to not do so though...You are right. Many of those people protesting stuff are also the people blocking new developments towards a new solution.
Those people protesting this genetics research stuff are also those who scream the loudest when they need donor organs...
Anyway, news about research progress and new developments and such are always nice to read. Unless it's yet another "we found even better ways to for surveillance!" ... O;
