This is simply not true. Salad fighters (VHF and HF) were very hard to down even with missiles whose launches were coordinated via Teamspeak.
Having multiple missiles flying towards a target at the same time allows 1 CM to disable multiple incoming missiles. The attackers risk wasting their munition fast and gain the chance of scoring a hit that hurts. There is nothing wrong with that tradeoff.
If you find yourself targetted now, you really have to do more than do a bit of dodging. CMing while not wasting your important resource becomes imperative and actually it works. I have found myself under missile+gun fire by two ships and could survive without running out of CMs. Against more, you are not meant to last indefinitely. That's also a good change.
