To join in the conversation and give a little bit of insight into what we have been discussing with Mesieurs Montreuil and Paix and with Mademoiselle Orlois of the Trade and Supply Division, we concluded that there are two main options to get said fuel.
The first would be simply buying it from Liberty. H-Fuel is a common commodity there, their engine technology is based on that exact fuel, but this option is kind of costy as the sell price of each gallon will include the travel cost. All in all, this is the safer but more expensive option of the two.
The second would be contacting the extractors themselves, the Gas Miners' Guild, without any third parties. As we would be buying right from them, the cost would obviously be significantly lower. What is problematic however is the distance and the way to get there and return: the GMG dwells and operates within the distant Sigma systems, far away from here. Additionally, getting our fuel samples from there would either mean crossing Rheinland through either from the direction of Liberty resulting in breaking their embargo or from the direction of Bretonia resulting in a route not enough profitable to worth it, or crossing Kusari itself, which has stated in the past that they do not welcome us in any form or shape within their borders.
Despite the obvious risks of it, the Division Leadership recommends the second option. Our pilots have been famous for their capabilities at blockade-running for long, and rumors say the authorial forces of Kusari are still not as strong as they used to be before the advance of the Gallic Royal Navy. I'm not a tactician or strategist or anything, but I'm convinced that Kusari doesn't really pose too much of a threat to us at their current state.
I felt necessary to forward this to you, mesieurs et mesdames. Sergent Croix signing off.
