Not that I really like coming here again to write some critizing feedback...but...no-one else seemed to care, when I asked what they thought so I just decided to post my concerns directly.
[12:28:00] Syrus: [...] Am I the only one feeling like these ships, the transport and the freighter, should be "old ships" which now are more useful again* as the times demand lighter, harder to catch ships, rather than being a new development? It somehow doesn't make too much sense to me...
[12:29:20] Syrus: Also it makes them sound too much like they are exclusivly Bretonia...
* See it this way,...as the colonies grew safer over time...actually though, why'd they not have been safe? Bretonia had no wars by lore, and piratewise ... hm... there were the Buccaneers in Bretonia. But other pirates aren't really mentioned. Hm...maybe they were build when first exploration of Taus started to take place, making Bretonia need smaller transports. Those big ones like the Shire or Shetland for example wouldn't be good for such purposes. Not to mention pirate activity probably rising high on the "frontier", even if lore doesn't mention too much about it. On the other hand those ships were needed to be build more cheaply, considering Bretonias constant lack of ressources...
Mh, so that'd probably make sense for why they'd start using an old model again and why that model is already all over the place with Freelancer having free access to it and all.
Overall I hope it won't be "Bretonian Civ", right? (tbh, I wish all light house civ ships were 100% for freelancers...but heh...)
I don't know why I didn't notice that before...just now that I read it, it felt not so fitting. But maybe it's just me. And as I said, infocard is one thing, I really just care about seeing it ingame and don't want to hold the development process. Just that it'd probably affect the RP of one of my "characters" (who'd be using it; because I'm definatly getting me one or even two) a bit.
