- BOWEX) and GATEWAY| FURBALL -

Event is an idea right now, so open to changes!

BACKGROUND:

The rivalry between gateway and bowex is one of the most formidable of any of the top corporations, regular clashes between Gateway Interceptors and Bowex Trade Vessels are a common sight in the Omegas.

Bowex being the bigger and more prestigious of the two Bretonian trading factions is usually more on the receiving end as being the ones who end up getting pirated. Although revenge attacks by Bowex ExSec ships take place also so its a real tit for tat.

This event would just spice things up a little bit more making a spectacle out of the rivalry between Gateway and Bowex.

RP BACKGROUND FOR THE EVENT:

There is a new contract up for grabs from the Bretonian Government it is worth Billions and guess what? Bowex and Gateway both want it, and only they stand in each others way.

To test for the best Bretonian company who should be awarded the contract, Bretonian government have decided to put on a little competition to see who can deliver the most goods (RP Commodity) in a given space of time.

Which is where this event comes in to play as each side has to try and stop the other from delivering as much cargo as possible during their round. So they will win the contract! Luckily the traderoute goes right through non-house space (Omegas) perfect for an ambush!

THE ARENA:

OMEGA 3, 7, 9 and 11

AIM:

To kill as many trading ships of the rival faction as possible, with the event split into two rounds. In each round, only one side will use snubs and GBs while the other will use traders + limited snub escort.

Offending Side:
Blockade the Convoy in the Omegas and stop as many traders as possible from getting to their destination. Traders must be killed, no quarter can be given, killing escorts is a secondary objective.

Defending Side: Break through the enemy blockade and deliver cargo to destination, limited escort must hold off attacking craft so the Convoy may escape, the more traders that make it through the more likely you are too win.

In each round, Bowex and Gateway will RP one side and then switch sides after their round is up.

HOW TO WIN:

For the offending side, they must kill as many traders as possible, the cargo they are carrying is very high value and as such if even one transport gets through could spell disaster for the attacking side, given the value of the contract up for grabs if they loose.

For the defending side, the more transports you get through in a given time the more likely you are to win.

Each round will start with 10 players on each side, 10 Attacking and Defending (6 Transports and 4 Escort Craft).

TIMING:

Round ends when all the Traders have expired their roles either by dying or making it to their delivery point with their cargo. You only get one life in this event as a trader or an attacking snub!!

Escorts may rejoin the fight if they die, but the total number of escorts cannot exceed 4 at any given time.

Each round will be timed, timing will end when the last trader expires its role.

DESTINATION:

Transport Bretonian Gold from Dublin to Munich.

TACTICS:

Each company may use whatever tactics they wish while Roleplaying their side whether defending or attacking provided they stick within the confines of the rules their side must adhere to.

For e.g. Defenders may wish to spread their convoys out thinly utilizing all Omega systems to get as many traders through as possible but this will take longer remember the trade contract will be awarded to the company that delivers the most cargo in a given time, or they may run a traditional convoy format faster time but high risk as potentially all their eggs are in one basket.

Attackers (offending) may decide to place interceptors in every possible Omega system on the route, risky as you dont know which system they will go through if they convoy you could miss them entirely! Or Attackers may decide to place their interceptors at a bottle neck in a hope of catching all of them in one go, risky if the traders spread their convoy out thinly.

So winning will be a combination of Luck, Planning and Prowess!

OORP PRIZE:

a brand new 'Bretonian Luxury Liner' paid for by the loosing side!!
