ENCRYPTION:MEDIUM SENDER ID: Commander Victor Keys ::: Liberty Navy Texas Armada, 56'th Division ::: 4-56| RECEIVER ID: 4-56| Headquarters LOCATION: [LN]-LNS-Mississippi::: Texas System ::: Liberty SENT ON: 06 (Friday) ::: 12 (December) ::: 820 A.S. SUBJECT: Florida Keys Downed (1/4)
----------
Howdy, y'all. Commander Victor Keys, here... I'm aboard the Mississippi since, as the title of this message states, the Florida Keys has just been disabled by 3 Deer Caps... and high above Planet Houston, of all things! A sad day for the 4-56'th, if a little strange.
I launched the Florida Keys for a usual patrol, when suddenly LNS-Amadaeus contacted us from New York, sayin' there be some Deers right in the Apple. After quickly groupin' in with Amadaeus, we headed to FortBush Junction to start our huntin', and just as we were headin' to the Mainapple next, we came 'cross the two capitals that Amadaeus be talkin' 'bout: 1'st.Rheinland.Fleet, a Turtledeer, and 2'nd_Rheinland_Fleet, a Deerboat.
We tried communicatin' with 'em, but they quickly opened fire without sayin' a word! Well, after we hollered to Amadaeus to get his hind 'round to us, we defended ourselves real-fine. It was a bit close, took all our bot reserves, but we managed to down the Turtledeer before the Amadaeus showed up and helped us mop out the Deerboat.
But shortly after, scanners found us a Biggybrick, callsigned Mehanik. Well, we told 'em to stand down, but he dun listen to our word, so we were forced to give chase.
... I swear, the captain of the Amadaeus be duller than a smooth rock, cause when I ordered 'em to CD the Biggybrick he just dun did do nothin' for the better part of 3 minutes. We did our best to kill the darn thing, but had Amadaeus been a little more competent with his CD we may have had a chance to rope down Mehanik. Instead, we chased the darn Biggybrick for another 10 minutes until I figured our crew's got better stuff to do. We broke from the chase and let Amadaeus continue huntin'. Dun know yet if he be successful or not, he dun report to us yet.
We were right 'bout havin' more interestin' things out there to be done... The captain of the LNS-Manticore picked up reports that a fleet of Deer ships be headin' to Texas. We mobilized towards Houston Junction, and sure enough there be the small Deer fleet near the Minnesota Jump Hole. But what's strange be that, in addition to the Bismarck which was a Turtledeer, two of the ships actually be the same1'st.Rheinland.Fleet and 2'nd_Rheinland_Fleet we engaged and destroyed back in the Apple.
Unfazed by this weird circumstance, me and Manticore planned to trick 'em to come near the Mississippi. We only found out, to our surprise, that that plan be dun' unnecessary, since they decided to charge Houston Junction anyway! Well, lemme tell ya, their blind charge seemed to have paid off, and them Deers managed to disable the Florida Keys from close range.
And so here I am, in the Mississippi, writin' my report, while the Flagship be under heavy repairs. Unfortunately, the black box for the Flagship got a little corrupted from that last battle, so we dun have any guncam shots 'bout any of the battles.
Admiral ma'am, even if we dun have any proof, I mighty-suggest you try and at least notify the A.D.M.I.N.S. 'bout this incident, seein' as how it ain't possible for the Deers we blew up in the Apple to magically appear in Texas mere minutes later.
As for the Florida Keys, thankfully the ol' girl's still got lots of fight left in her. Our engineers back in Norfolk predict she'll be back to combat-readiness within 24 hours...
