A sharp electronic noise rings through the lab-room Rachel was halfway-asleep in, cracking an eye at the unwelcome disturbance, she reaches into a small drawer in the desk, only to pull out her PDA. "Ah.. They're actually using the communication codes I gave them post-signup. That's good." Trailing off, watching as Finn's image appears on the PDA screen as the message begins to play.
At the mention of his name, she pauses, and gets a small grin on her face. "Finn.. 'McCool?'Oh, I can just tell, this is going to be excellent." Watching the rest of the message quietly.
Before I submit a requisition for delivery to Corinth, I would like t' know what you do plan on using those materials for. All research projects are t' be recorded an' entered into our database.
"Ahh. I should have known." Sitting up straight reluctantly, she begins creating a counter-message.
"Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, I appreciate it. I should have known that you'd need to know what these materials are going to be made into, sorry for not thinking about it earlier. In short, it's a multipurpose structure i've created in the past, something I like to call my own 'physics playground'. Basically, it's an Ion Collider if you haven't figured that much out, miniaturized of course. Making use of the mirrors and cryocubes, i'll be able to successively be able to navigate either ions, or a laser throughout the finished product, with hopefully enough sensors to be able to find out that I want. Trust me. The crycoubes are useful, as the coldness is what I need. Superconductors are great, however these prove a little more effective in what I have in mind. The system will have an optional branch, which will re-direct the laser component to a different section of the structure, which i'll house a perfect crystal of a sort. I'm thinking diamond, although that is yet to be determined. Looking back on some of the Quantum Physics done in the past, a setup like this will make use of the laser to create phonon's within the atoms of the crystal, and perhaps around it. Using the Raman Scattering method, this will entangle the atoms for a few femtoseconds. This isn't long, and I plan to put some time into figuring out how to extend the time that the atoms remain entangled. This will open up possibilities such as super-communication systems, or perhaps even some upgrades to processing units. Quantum computing is a fun subject."
"Putting things within a few sentences which you can put in a database, i'll be working on studying colliding ions, or as you know, a window to Dark Matter. Secondarily, i'll be working Quantum Entanglement, and the prolonging of the effect we know how to inflict currently. Questions, concerns, requests, please let me know."
Closing the communication, and letting it send, she proceeds to sit back in the chair once more. "I should take anot-.. No.. I suppose its time to get 'that' over with." Standing up, she walks to the exit while stretching, proceeding down to where she left her ship. She'll be back. Although there wasn't much to do, until her order was ready.
