As Lanakov said, we have a policy of etiquette that we try to follow. Unless this was a Skype chat outside of the SCRA, then I have not seen anyone complain, certainly not about poor roleplay on your part.
You'll have to be more specific as to the situation and the people involved, otherwise there's not much any of us can do.
