A stab at the RP players.

I only joined disco about 5 days ago, so the memories are still very fresh for me.

the first 2 days, I didnt say a single word. Never did any roleplaying before, so I was worried Id get reactions like the ones you described.

Ive had some bad experiences, (like getting permission to go through omicron gamma, but still getting threatened with death because I couldnt find the jumphole out straight away). But Ive picked up quite alot aswell and come to enjoy the roleplaying.


Discovery has an enormous amount of facts and rules. They keep it fun and playable for everyone, but they are intimidating for newcomers. Its more then you can learn in a visit to the forum and a trip around the new york system. Like all the different npc and player factions, itll take me ages before I can tell them all appart, despite having read several posts about them.


Its just alot to take in. There are well-meaning new players out there who would like to make that effort tho. It would be a shame if experienced players ignored that and put them in a corner together with those people who just dont care.
