Indie nomads have more or less been just merely unpredictable nomad npcs that happen to give blue messages and angry russian private messages when they're killed. The fact that they're almost always on the receiving end of gank, and have to travel for a good quarter to half an hour from any friendly base to where they can actually hope to meet any players in a largely empty ZOI doesn't help the grudges and anger issues. Adding cruisers before fixing the other issues first will only throw fuel on the fire, since it's basically handing (another) player base that's predisposed towards substandard play and handing them a bigger gun.
