In my opinion, nobody should get special treatment, and there shouldn't be a possibility of this happening in the first place.
No special toys for anyone. No SRPs. You all eventually think you are special people for having such things, and the ones who don't have them special toys aspire to have them to feel special like those special people eventually. Such ego everywhere, such ambition, such shameful display.
I hate you people.
Bang on mate.
No one person on this server should have anything others cannot also have. A player is a player, and all should be equal, and have the same toys available to all.
And how do we reward RP effort and skill as well as all the other quality traits we'd all want to see in players?
By doing this we also put the one who truly RPs and tries to be a good, fair player on the same level as the downright, appalling jerk which in turn... would discourage the good player from remaining good, because, hell, why should he stay in a place/community where he isn't differentiated from the jerk?
Maybe the examples are not the right ones, but I want to say that through rewards, we can promote and encourage the display of a certain behaviour or an approach we want to see. The only problem lies in the execution and implementation.
I wouldn't want to have all my efforts and ambitions castrated murderously and see myself pitted at the same level as everyone else whereas all my efforts and attempts at providing entertaining encounters are not taken into consideration.
What is wrong with ambition anyway? It prevents us from festering into a regressive society of hedonist procrastinators.
This is all too left-winged for my tastes.
