The Kusari Citizen Registry (henceforth referred to as the Registry) aims to provide a database for the Republic of Kusari of all citizens of good standing with the law, and that are therefore eligible to participate in the political processes of the Kusari Republic. Citizens of Kusari who register in this database are recognized as holding kusarian nationality, and that have automatically forfeited any allegiance to other Houses or nations they might had previously.
2. Citizenship and the Political Process.
Citizen registration is required for participation in political processes of the Kusari Republic. Citizens are required to be registered up to two (2) weeks prior of any election or referendum to be allowed to participate. Citizens who register past this deadline are not allowed to participate in the following political process, but are included in the electorate for all actions thereon.
3. Eligible Individuals.
Although all citizens are empowered with the same rights and duties, the Registry recognizes several situations and backgrounds. The following section describes the requirements for each potential situation.
3.1 Kusari Natives
Kusarian citizens who were born and raised in Kusari,
Are 18 years or older,
Are not involved with any organization outlawed by Kusari law
If possessing any criminal background, must provide proof of normalization of its status, either through a State issued pardon or through compliance of the penalties observed in the Kusari law
Eligible individuals must provide the following documents for inspection:
-1 Biographical Document
OR
-1 Record that demonstrates his or her native status and/or successful employment in Kusari state organizations. (//Story, successful application, etc.)
3.2 Individuals of Kusari Descent
Kusari Citizens who are offspring of Kusarians and were not born and raised in Kusari territory.
Are 18 years or older
Are not involved with any organization outlawed by Kusari law
If possessing any criminal background, must provide proof of normalization of its status, either through a State issued pardon or through compliance of the penalties observed in the Kusari law
Has lived in Kusari for the last three (3) years, as a law abiding civilian or state employee.
Eligible individuals must provide the following documents for inspection:
-1 Biographical Document, where the Kusarian ancestry is proven
AND
-1 Document that demonstrates that the individual is or has lived/worked in Kusari and has not engaged in any unlawful actions or behaviors. (//successful application, contract work, story, etc.)
3.3 Naturalized Long Term Residents
Long term foreign residents of Kusari territories who have proven to be law abiding citizens and worthy of Kusari Citizenship
Are 18 years or older
Are not involved with any organization outlawed by Kusari law
Have dedicated his or her services to a commercial corporation, or have offered their services for several years to Kusari organizations (note: Kusari law enforcement forces, Kishiro Technologies and affiliated companies, Samura Industries and affiliated companies, Hogosha organizations)
Have lived in Kusari for a period longer than 10 years, or 5 years if the individual is a spouse of a kusarian citizen.
Eligible individuals must provide the following documents for inspection:
- 1 Biographical Document
AND
- 1 Document that demonstrates that the individual is or has lived/worked in Kusari and has not engaged in any unlawful actions or behaviors. (//successful application, contract work, story, etc.)
4. Technical aspects
It will be the duty of the Republic of Kusari offices to screen and approve the registration applications, and to keep an updated list of the registered citizens.
This system was approved by the Parliament of the Kusari Republic on th 28th of March of 821A.S., and came into effect on the 2nd of April of the same year.
